  1. Damn I was hoping all 3 batters would try to bunt
  2. Matt Antonelli really earned his callup by going .196/.323/.285 in 347 AB's in the PCL.
  3. Of course you do. Wow, I didn't see that coming. Very original, too.
  4. I still say the Brewers win.
  5. Look at Estes go
  6. Meh..Brewers probably will still win
  7. Quentin's injury could really hurt his chances at the MVP. He might be out for a while.
  8. http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=2584 HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  9. And winner of the "taking it too far award goes to..." :) You suck at quotation marks You suck at not offending AIDS patients Guilty as charged

  11. Last night on the radio some guy said that Soriano not being able to bunt will keep this team from winning in the playoffs. Seriously, he said that.
  12. Just a fly in the ointment, Hans. The monkey in the wrench. The pain in the ass.
  13. A Zambrano/Theriot brawl has so much potential. What wins- brute strength, or grit and trickery?
  14. I usually like Kurkijian, but he kind of pissed me off. It sounded like he wanted Zambrano to be out or something and was acting as though it was probable that he was done for the season. Buster Olney, on the other hand, was pretty realistic and even said the Cubs still ould be the favorites in the NL even without Zambrano. And yeah, I hate how the media makes a bigger deal out of things like this just because it's the Cubs. I was up all night and ESPN was on in the background pretty much the whole time and I can't even explain to you how many times I heard premature negativity and doom about Zambrano. The radio is even worse. On the score they're like "Cubs streak stretches 5 blah blah....but more importantly they may have lost Zambrano for the season and possibly longer". WTF
  15. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/cubs/1145318,earlyzam090408.article I'm holding my breath until we hear more, but so far so good.
  16. A true disaster, that article, really not good at all, very poorly written, pretty unimpressive.
  17. What was different about their stories? I forget what Deluca said. Deluca (and ESPN) says that he missed the MRI because of a personal matter he had to tend to. Rogers says it's because he doesn't want the injection. I can't believe the hosts didn't ask him why Deluca had completely different info. Kind of a big difference between those 2 stories.
  18. This show is terrible. They aren't even asking Rogers why Deluca had a completely different story than what he said. Isn't it kind of relevant that each of your guests had a completely different story?
  19. Yeah, that sounds like a terrible idea.
  20. Chris Deluca (Sun-Times) is on the Score and he's saying he talked to a few people close to the situation and they all told him the reason Zambrano missed the MRI is because he had a personal matter to attend to, and that he promised he'd take it today. Thos goes along with what ESPN reported, so I'm going to believe that over this Jesse Rogers guy who keeps changing his story.
  21. The fact that Zambrano took himself out of the game makes me worry that it might be the second one. I can't imagine Z asking out of the game for something minor.
  22. Does it matter what Z thinks? What Zambrano thinks doesn't give me much comfort at this point. If he feels like it's the same thing from July then that's probably good news. The MRI will settle the issue. Like I said, best case he strained his shoulder and needs some time off. SHUT HIM DOWN. He can come back the last series and pitch a few innings to see how he feels, and get ready for game 3 of the NLDS. Now they're talking on the Score about how Z just doesn't want to know what's wrong? What the hell? They need to make up their minds.
  23. Yeah I'm listening to the Score and whoever is talking is saying he doesn't want the Arthrogram. If it's true that he doesn't want it because he's miss a couple starts, that sounds like a good sign in that it probably means he wasn't in a lot of pain or anything and that he thinks it's nothing season-threatening.
