  1. They'll do at least one splashy thing, even if it's not the absolute top of market mega-star we all want. If I were playing oddsmaker I'd peg it at something like 50% Swanson 30% Senga 10% Correa or Bogaerts 10% Other i think that's the plan, i'm just not convinced any of those happen. it already feels like one of those "everyone was overpaying!" offseasons. and yes i'm just being negative and trying to reverse jinx it
  2. That'll work. i think that would be sad
  3. i'm smelling a bell/bellinger/taillon offseason
  4. https://www.theringer.com/nba/2022/11/28/23481340/chicago-bulls-zach-lavine-demar-derozan-nikola-vucevic
  5. on one hand, i'm fine with not giving him that much. on the other, this feels like the first whiff. i'm sick of whiffs.
  6. if he's out for the year, at least we won't have to see any more "if fields is good, why can't he win?" takes on sundays
  7. how big of a hit to fields development would it be if he missed the rest of the season?
  8. dach is kind of breaking out with montreal
  9. There’s been so much noise and smoke about us doing a big addition or two for literal months, idk how that can be your expectation. Literally everyone from Jed to Ross to beat guys to national guys say we’re gonna be doing some significant additions. Didn’t Jed basically come out and say we weren’t signing a top tier guy? I’ll say it again: there won’t be long term contracts until Heyward’s is off the books. you have a very strict definition of "long-term" the cubs are clearly spending this winter. not many of these free agents are getting near 10 year deals
  10. well that's one of the worst losses you'll see

Literally everyone from Jed to Ross to beat guys to national guys say we’re gonna be doing some significant additions. not to mention they did more than just 3rd tier signings last year
  12. this is why i wanted to (and still want to) blow it up
  13. Right now, QB runs have to be a larger part of the offense because Justin is behind a line that's incapable of consistent pass blocking. I think most of us get that, next season, behind what I would expect to be a much-improved line we'll see less of an emphasis on QB runs. i get the feeling he's one of those people that won't like any running whatsoever from the quarterback. i think he dislikes lamar as well.
  14. found the hater
  15. which mediocre exec did it better? pace leaving the bears fields hendry leaving the cubs baez
  16. i can't stop watching fields highlights
  17. need imb's take on that 4th down call
  18. i wasn't able to check the score until after the game, but my initial reaction was excitement over fields. the loss felt secondary. maybe it would have been different if i watched it play out.
  19. it's crazy to watch brady run and then think that he plays in the same league as justin fields
