    not to mention matthews only has 1 year left on his deal and the hawks are years away from being competitive but sign me up for signing matthews in FA. it's a bit early, but with his age and the money we have to spend going forward, it would be pretty great

    the biggest difference between Kane and bedard is probably the shot. like kyle said, bedard has one of the best wrist shots in the planet already (and that has come from the mouths of current nhl stars). kane's shot was always pretty mediocre.
