    why are you assuming they won't extend bellinger? he fits in perfectly with what they're trying to do long-term and he's getting under 200 million, which means he's in the cubs price range.

    that's what i was thinking. my dream scenario for bellinger when he signed was that he returned to form and we extended him, but 8 years with his past terrifies me.
