  1. "Beefing up" indicates improvement. If you're a 110 lb. weakling who works out and becomes a 160 lb. average guy, you have beefed up. Adding another 20 pounds would be beefing up "even more". If you're going to take issue with semantics, do it right. let's see how many more people can take issue with the fact that i misinterpreted a post Or better yet we can wait for the troops to put words in your mouth. i'm shocked that you made this post and didnt just put me on ignore.

  3. if that's what he meant, fine. sounded like he was acting like our farm system is stacked now or something with the "even more" part. if that's not what he meant, fine. i'll apologize. i don't even care. just drop it before the troops arrive and start making cool and witty comments and put words into my mouth
  4. if you have to pick apart everything i say and make it into something it's not, why don't you just put me on ignore. it's really pretty simple.
  5. Oh, like I said. Carry on there, Dex. except you used rbi's and batting average to show that he hasn't hit, and those don't show that he hasn't hit it would have been perfectly acceptable if you had just used his slugging percentage Actually BA is the best way to tell if someone has gotten hits. Now if you want to know whether he has gotten extra base hits or overall been a productive offensively player you would want to use other statistics. batter A hits .300, but every hit is a single batter B hits .250, but every hit is a home run who is a better hitter?
  6. You must not pay attention to the farm system. This year it has taken a big step forward. i'm aware. i'm just saying that it's still not very good. So what? It's gone from a bottom of the barrell system to a pretty average system in a years time. This year's picks have looked promising as well. If they can improve next year then we all of a sudden have solid to above average farm system. Either way, the lone bright spot for this season is the play in the minors. Please don't suck the life out of that like you do with everything else on this board. jesus. all i said is that our farm system has gotten better, but it's not "beefed up". that's all i'm saying. it's gone from crappy to maybe average. is that not true? stop looking for stuff to pick apart.
  7. oh hey, nobody ever said he wouldn't
  8. good one bro. let's see how many more times you can use that joke before you realize it isn't funny anymore how about you stick to the actual topic and tlel me if you diagree that our farm system is still below average. make fun of his signature i don't even need to. it's pretty [expletive] creepy. that girl is like 14

  11. nobody said average means nothing. it means something because it brings other numbers up. also nobody said anything close to what you said about ops btw, that hitter would still have an .800 ops
  12. I'm having a tough time determining if you're really an annoyingly repetitive, flame-baiting junk poster, or just being facetious. Can you help clarify? both
  13. Oh, like I said. Carry on there, Dex. except you used rbi's and batting average to show that he hasn't hit I didn't feel the need to post all of his sorry ass stats. the rest of his stats? you mean the stats that actually mean something and show that he hasnt been very good? we do know, and everybody is agreeing that he has been a disappointment. i don't see how you're not getting this
  14. Oh, like I said. Carry on there, Dex. except you used rbi's and batting average to show that he hasn't hit, and those don't show that he hasn't hit it would have been perfectly acceptable if you had just used his slugging percentage
  15. is that where you take a dump in your pants while running the bases
  16. because he hasn't hit you can hit for poor average and still be a productive hitter. you can have low rbi totals and still be a productive hitter. end yourself
  17. what is ops i dont remember the exact equation, you'll have to ask meph but it's something like 2x(RBI+GW RBI)/race(-1 for black)+(meaningless home runs)x(hustle/pant legs(up or down)) man i just though of a perfect acronym for ops re: bradley but it's way to racist too post
  18. NOBODY IS SAYING ANYTHING CLOSE TO THAT we're just making fun of you and your horrible usage of statistics
  19. do you really not realize that the people who make fun of you aren't milton bradley apologists, but rather are making fun of you for your usage of a meaningless statistic like rbi's? yes, bradley has been a big dissapointment, but there are numbers out there that actually show that. rbis do not. Oh, I see kinda you missed the batting avg and HR part of the equation. Not to mention his sad attitude. But yea, carry on. once again you miss the point. i'm not saying bradley has been good.
  20. i want to see this guy converse with wrigley23
