  1. i really hope we don't always remember this series for bill mccreary
  2. i'm sure mccreary loved announcing the goal after the review. [expletive] you, moron we're dominating them and they get a gift goal. [expletive] this
  3. thanks a lot, officer mccreary, you stupid [expletive] piece of [expletive]
  4. So if we controlled the puck more, hit two posts, and had an even number of shots, what besides score did they do to make you think they controlled the period? we controlled the puck more in the neutral zone, not in their zone. we got almost no sustained pressure on them at all. i'd be willing to bet the puck was in our zone longer than it was in theirs, although neither team had much sustained pressure.
  5. you could argue that the flyers have outplayed us so far in this series You could. But you'd be wrong. yeah and you also think that was a fine first period. it wasn't terrible or anything, but they outplayed us. You are reacting to the score alone. why, because i disagree with you? no, i'm not. we had like 2-3 small surges and that's it. we controlled the puck more, but got close to nothing going.
  6. espn says it too we are taking sooooo many bad penalties this series

  8. 2 outs in the 9th, perfect game going. Dude hits a weak chopper towards the hole on the right side, Cabrera fields it and throws it to Galaragga covering first to complete the perfect game. Except Jim Joyce called him safe. Replay show it wasn't even close. He beat him by almost a full step. Foot was right on the middle of the bag. Yikes

  10. an umpire just stole a perfect game from armando galaragga with an atrocious blown call at first with 2 outs in the 9th wow
  11. guys, he drove straight into it, and i'm pretty sure he yelled bullseye
  12. I don't think Omar is who you think he is. how do you not see it?
  13. i'd prefer if i could just talk to samson
  14. i can't believe any of you are actually talking about preferences of when a potential clinching game may or may not take place. we talk about game 3 and that's it. have you all learned nothing?
  15. definitely. i watched a full interview of him that he did during the off day between games 1 and 2, and the entire time it just felt like he was trying desperately to come across as confident and loose. also, he looks like evan longoria mixed with tim robbins. so at least he has that.
  16. not going to lie, i've had bromantic feelings towards burish for a while now. he's not very good, but i love him. worth watching just to hear him call avery a [expletive]
  17. LD% - 12.0 GB% - 49.4 BABIP - .312 highly dubious
  18. am i making too much of it, or was it weak for him to say that? kinda sounds like he's making excuses for a goal that is all on him and definitely not carle. that shot just can't go in under any circumstances in a stanley cup game. that was worse than any of his 5 in game 1.
  19. i'm trying my hardest to just enjoy the moment and not look ahead too much. it's not working, but i'm trying
  20. what's the record for most consecutive wins to end a stanley cup winning season? do we have a chance with 9? not saying i'm even thinking about a sweep, just interested in what the record is. i'd be thrilllllled with a split.
  21. http://i45.tinypic.com/33cotnk.jpg how sick does that look?
  22. even though it probably wasn't true at the time, i've felt this way since we went up 2-0 on the sharks coming back home. it was at that point it actually hit me that "holy crap, this is really happening". that was when i was all in... meaning anything less than a cup would be devastating. i remember a specific moment when my feelings changed from "we have as good a chance as anybody" to "OH MY GOD, we actually should win a championship this year" if the blackhawks win one of the next 2, they guArantee themselves 3 shots at winning the cup... with 2 of the 3 games at home. just win one in philly. that's all you gotta do
  23. was i the only one that was kind of disgusted by mcguire's talk about the flyers? after they scored their first goal (a lucky ass goal on a power play when the hawks were completely dominating them before the penalty) he was raving about how impressed he was that the flyers hadn't quit. yeah, they reminded me of the 1980 USA team with the way they got that power play goal. just amazing heart. it was all night too. at first it was just him raving about leighton early (when leighton wasn't doing anything) and then it just kept escalating into a full blown love affair.
  24. i once was offered 5 dollars to kill a man. i was strongly considering it, but i was too afraid it was a setup by the cops. so i think it's definitely reasonable
