    And apprently those 2 guys are pretty reputable. considering the only ones reporting otherwise are some dudes on a message board, i think these are most likely correct.

    it's sounding like that stuff about only the 1.3 going against the cap is BS. sounds like it's still the 4.2 mil which means ladd and probably sharp or bolland. maybe start thinking about a 95-100 point season next year?

    Wings fans still seem to think we're gonna lose significant guys Hawks fans also believed Bowman when he said that no more trades were needed...guess we all live in our delusions:) who believed that? not knowledgable fans unlike Wings fans? Also Buff, Sopel, Versteeg and Madden are significant loses. Most of these knowledgeable Hawks fans seem to think they are not i'm not talking about those guys. i went to a red wings board and theyre convinced they're going to lose MORE significant guys. that's what im talking about. try to keep up.

    i dont think you give enough credit to ladd. i don't think versteeg really brings anything to the table. his dynamics usually lead to him turning the puck over. ladd is a really solid 2-way forward also, ladd is a [expletive] warrior, and hockey is a sport where stuff like that actually matters in the playoffs.

That's not what the tweet even said. Woj basically said that didn't he? I guess using the phrase "effectively ends" is presumptuous though. All Woj said is that he's putting his focus in other areas right now. Why does that mean he's ending his pursuit of LeBron? Don't most people assume LeBron won't sign right away? If LeBron is going to wait a bit, he doesn't need to focus on him right now. Anyways, I think this is all moot. People seem to be overestimating the power of Wade. He isn't going to make LeBron's decision for him. I'd think anything he could do to sway his decision has already been done. "Hey Bron-Bron... it's Dwyane again. Seriously, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease come here. Pllllllleeeease? C'mon dood"

    As far as I can tell, that should be it, unless someone goes nuts on an offer sheet for one of our RFAs. I think we can even afford to keep Ladd. This would end up being an amazing offseason (considering what we were prepared for) if this is it. I was just concerned about keeping Sharp and Hjalmarsson, and now we might not even end up losing Ladd? Awesome Red Wings fans must be lovin this

    exactly. if you believe the media, then lebron has gone from leaning towards chicago to miami to cleveland in a matter of a week. i think it's likely that lebron has had a heavy favorite in his mind for a while now, and nobody knows who it is. i think it's naive to think this is a decision that he hasn't been giving heavy consideration for years. 40% chicago 30% cleveland 20% miami 10% nj/ny that's how i feel about it right now. but like i said, this means nothing. we have no clue wtf is going on. this isn't even an informed prediction. we're all just spinning our wheels. it's fun though
