  1. you've been waiting so long to have him go 6-8 for three so you could say that, haven't you sick game from rose.
  2. calgary and la go to OT. shocking.
  3. pretty good
  4. i like pretending that guy is nicolas cage
  5. i don't understand the point of saying that and ignoring games in hand. Thats just how I look at it. Being behind the pace still means you need to make up those points. If the Bulls were 49-19 and the Celtics 50-19, I would say the Bulls were a half game behind Boston but have played 1 less game. It's a big part of the equation no doubt, but being 2 points behind a team with a game in hand still requires them to make up those points. basketball is different. there aren't any ties and it go purely by win-loss i just don't get the point of saying "they're out of the playoffs right now" about a team if they had 2 games in hand on the 8 spot. if the hawks were down 1 point to the flames with 2 games in hand, would you say calgary is ahead of them? i wouldn't. the games is hand are just as important as the overall point total. neither means anything without looking at the other. the point total means nothing until all the games are played. what's important is the record itself. if you have 2 games in hand and are only down 1 point, you have the better record despite trailing in points.
  6. melo is already causing problems too. supposedly he refused to join a huddle during a timeout during friday's game, and then amare kind of called him out a little bit in the postgame press conference (which melo skipped). i'm so glad the bulls didn't trade noah for that guy. oh, and then they followed it up by losing to the bucks
  7. Lebron's been all over TV imb already used that joke I have him blocked. With the bad taste of "the decision" still in people's mouths, and the fact that his team -- supposed to blow everyone summarily off the court -- can't crack the top 2 seeds, and he's playing with 2 other superstars. I don't know. I realize he's Lebron. There are some negatives there that Rose doesn't have to deal with. Built-in negatives. chris bosh is a superstar?
  8. i don't understand the point of saying that and ignoring games in hand.
  9. and memphis is good
  10. Lebron's been all over TV imb already used that joke
  11. shots you get fouled on don't count as field goal attempts unless you make them
  12. haha matt geiger
  13. You don't get fouled by guys playing under neath every screen or sagging off in isolation. You get fouled by guys you beat to a spot. Hard to beat a guy to a spot when he has a five foot head start. ok so then take a quick couple steps and pull up for a poorly contested mid-range shot. something he can actually do.
  14. or going back to his mid-range game... which was getting better and better
  15. it's okay to miss them as long as youre open we need to start utilizing noah from three more often. teams just GIVE him that wide open three constantly.
  16. how about rose pulling up and taking a 2 inside the line....something he was actually getting good at before he stopped doing it this season in favor of the 3. i mean, why do you think teams are giving him the 3? because he isn't making them.
  17. when you're missing the threes over and over and over, yes.... they are better options. your whole argument is that it's okay that he's taking shots that he's proven he can't hit consistently.... because the other options aren't good either. that's a weak argument to me. "yea, might as well keep taking threes that you won't make.... everyone else sucks anyways. championship!"
  18. now compare their field goal percentages. also, rose is taking more three's than any of those guys. Yeah, Kobe actually has running mates that can stay on the floor. Lebron has Wade and Bosh. When it was just Lebron in Cleveland he'd be jacking up 5+ threes a game consistently. wasn't any smarter then. also, he was shooting like 50% from the field when he was with cleveland despite the 3's. are you okay with rose taking 5 threes a game when the playoffs start?
  19. Oh, please, that's not what you're doing. You chime in after every bad shooting game saying he has no business even trying to shoot 3's, and are completely silent when he has a good game. not true at all. and btw, he goes like 8-21 almost every game now, sooooooo why do you keep making things up? i NEVER say anything like that. i mention is because im concerned about the playoffs when our star is shooting below 44%. again, people get ridiculously butt hurt when you say ANYTHING that issn't complimentary about rose. now suddenly i'm trashing rose and saying he's hurting the team? ok. awesome.
  20. Oh, please, that's not what you're doing. ohhhhhhhhhhhh
  21. i can't believe how pissy people get when you point out obvious weaknesses/concerns with rose. jesus.
  22. haha. you're right, the shot selection isn't the problem. he just isn't a three point shooter, yet he's taking them at a crazy rate. he's trying to force the three pointer to be part of his game. Well he has to do SOMETHING with the ball. He stops taking all these threes you're worried about and he's playing right into the teeth of the defense that is sagging off and playing the drive. The threes don't exist in a vacuum. preferably something that doesn't involve brick after brick Yes that would be nice. Or he could pass it to the bevy of ball handlers around him or his reliably healthy low post options. so you're okay with him continuing to do the one thing that is being proven every night to fail? i don't understand how you can justify taking a bunch of threes that you're likely to miss just because you're open.
  23. now compare their field goal percentages. also, rose is taking more three's than any of those guys.
  24. You're right, they'd never beat a decent team, especially on the road, with a shooting night like that. yes because winning one game in the regular season is exactly the same as beating a team 4 out of 7 times in the postseason great post You specifically asked if they could beat boston/miami/orlando with Rose going 8-21 or similar...and he and they did exactly that against both Orlando and Miami this year. i was obviously asking if they could beat them in a playoff series, not a single regular season game. and you say i'm being ignorant? or i'm concerned that the guy who will have to carry us in the postseason is now shooting below 44% if rose played for any other team, you guys would be saying the same stuff.
