even if you add good pitching prospects with dempster/garza trades and next year's inevitable top 5 pick, i still feel like they're going to need add pitching through free agency if we're going to be at all relevant in the next couple years. i know they're trying to manage expectations and stuff by making it sound like they won't spend, but i don't buy it. i think they'll be realtively aggressive this offseason, especially if garza is traded.
