    duke and david are always right, and yet it always feels like they're trying to convince themselves more than they're trying to convince everyone else. ultimately this is a good roster, but the whole "they weren't broken cubs tonight, they were just regular not-good-enough cubs" refrain is such a sad place for this season to have gotten to.
