You folks keep saying the Brewers are not good. They are playing great baseball right now, when it counts. What else matters? There's not 3 months of long term trending left to consider. If they play like this for another 10 games or so they are probably in the playoffs, either by a wild card or divisional championship. Brewers are good...not great but good....problem is so are the Cubs...April threads predicted 110 win team and that was just never going to happen ...next few days should be fun to see who wins this craphole of a division How is the central a craphole? Every post you make is wrong

I assumed we'd be going in up 3.5 at least. Going in up 2.5, we really need to take 3 of 4. A split is OK but anything worse and I'll be worried. The Brewers are not good, im ready to sweep them away. a split is fine, but the brewers taking 3 of 4 is trouble. the cards will still be fighting against us but they'll probably have nothing to play for in that final series against milwaukee. looking at the 95%+ odds is fun and all, but if they take 3 of 4 at home it's basically a tossup with a week to go.

I love all the terrified people trying to convince themselves that losing a game on the brewers tonight doesn't change anything. If the brewers win 3 out of 4 that game will look huge.

why? they're a completely non-descript team You shut your damn mouth. F the Brewers. F their fans. F their city. F them all. the cardinals spent half the season fighting with their manager and then the front office sold after the deadline. letting them come back from 7 down in sepotember to win the division would be like the greatest offense any cubs team ever commited

It doesn't look quite as ridiculous as the vaunted posters on here thought. I don't know what to tell you. I've had numerous discussions with you about this. The Brewers do suck. They are a .500ish team that played above their heads for half a season. The Cubs played well below their potential for half a season. We trailed by 5.5 games at the break. When it got to that point, I conceded that it was going to be a tight race. How could it not be, if we had to make up 5.5 games with only a few months left? Things haven't gone well for us. And we let the Brewers and the Cardinals hang around for far too long, despite them being inferior opponents. Not much we can do to change that now. but... they're not. certainly not the cardinals. your problem is that you've gone past lovable optimistism and are basically just a new york sports fan now

Yeah, Duker is looking rough on this one right now. Because with 19 games left, we are two games ahead of them. Which means either they aren't the garbage team he has stressed all year that they are, or we aren't quite as #wearegood as he thinks. That said, let's hope the Cubs win the division and his ultimate prediction will still shine through. It's looking rougher for the guy who has been saying since May that the Brewers were going to win the division, considering they still trail the Cubs. you're both going to be wrong, congrats
