  1. the eyes of the world on big dick nick
  2. i don't buy that all after they added yelich and cain
  3. well, all he said was that was his "personal guess" (yes, i am a sham of a person and i went to that board and looked for his posts) Hey, I appreciate you guys relaying the info. I refuse to go on their message board due to my irrational hatred. your hatred of the brewers is not irrational, your fear is
  4. That Brewer guy seems to be money, though. If he said Archer is going to be a Brewer, I believe him. well, all he said was that was his "personal guess" (yes, i am a sham of a person and i went to that board and looked for his posts)
  5. https://twitter.com/ShaunKing/status/959032792880435200
  6. i find it hard to believe that a 5th year is what's been holding this up. it seems far more likely that the la/nyy stuff is true.
  7. after his weak backtracking, i just expected nsbb to be making fun of him more than analyzing his new claims.
  8. i'll always remember him as the guy who gave us the best moment of the season right after the world series
  9. it doesn't matter if he got bad info or just made some stupid leap. he pretty clearly wanted people to believe that he had information of darvish-to-cubs going down, and it wasn't true. i just don't understand the heavy defense for this random internet guy, or why we should believe he knows anything in regards to the cubs/darvish negotiations.
  10. has any of the stuff he's been right about not been about the brewers? he was wrong about the one cubs thing he said he knew, whether the cubs end up with darvish or not. He hasn’t been wrong necessarily. He admitted he made the jump to conclusion on saying Darvish to Cubs when all he heard from his source was we substantially outbid the Brewers on him. He’s still favoring us to get him as well and said by Monday he will decide.... I don’t know if any other Cubs centric stuff he’s said and whether it was true or not. i'm not saying that the stuff from him isn't interesting, but he was wrong. i don't know why he'd think that the cubs offering more than the brewers meant that darvish had decided on the cubs, but that's clearly the message he conveyed with his original post. he made a definitive statement, was wrong, and now i simply hate him forever.
  11. because he's been spot on with everything else, including stuff that was pretty off the radar, so he obviously has information if you don't wanna read it that's cool but i'm not sure why you don't see why people are interested has any of the stuff he's been right about not been about the brewers? he was wrong about the one cubs thing he said he knew, whether the cubs end up with darvish or not.
  12. why are we still listening to that brewers guy? he may hear stuff, but "darvish to the cubs" was clearly not meant to be him saying that they just topped the brewers offer.
  13. If by 4/60 you mean 2/30 or 3/40, sure. But just get Yu my heart wants yu, but it kind of feels like it's back to 6/150 for him, and his recent injury history makes that pretty scary to me. i'll still be excited if they end up paying that much to get him, but i don't know if it's a smart decision.
  14. just sign cobb for 4/60 like we were supposed to 2 months ago
  15. i was curious about what bill simmons is up to these days, so i briefly followed him on twitter. the first thing from him was a retweet of an article from the ringer breaking down a season of friday night lights. jesus.
  16. i get the feeling that gimenez is overselling his relationship with yu
  17. all we're going to hear for the next couple months is that the brewers added cain/yelich to an 86 win team, instead of the 70-whatever win team they actually were before these moves.
  18. the brewers were not nearly better than the cubs last year. the cubs are also obviously adding a pitcher. What? They were a young team that had a 5.5 game lead on them at one point. They fell apart at the end of the year. They've added a ton so far, what if they sign Darvish? finishing 6 games behind a team (with an inferior run differential) does not mean you were "nearly better" than them. once the cubs got quintana and fixed their rotation, they obliterated them. factor in the likely regression for their veterans who overachieved last year, and the difference between the 2 teams going into 2018 is going to be obvious.
  19. why would you think that If the Cubs don't make a move heading into the regular season, their moves are Chatwood and Morrow and lost Arrieta? The Brewers were nearly better than them last year. the brewers were not nearly better than the cubs last year. the cubs are also obviously adding a pitcher.
  20. why would you think that
  21. odd
  22. Nobodys scared. I'm just waiting for the finished product before projecting win totals. Crazy stuff the point is that they can add a lot more and still be projected to be mediocre
  23. They still have plenty of cash to burn and a surplus of outfielders to trade.... I wouldn't start making win projections just yet. we found a guy who is scared of the brewers
