    the blues loss tonight made me realize that the only time the Q era hawks blew a series lead was in 2014 against the kings, and it was only a 1-0 series lead. aside from all the winning, they really kept the heartbreaks to a minimum for a team that was perennially expected to go deep in the playoffs

    Yeah seriously, our OF is desperate for guys who can put up an .830-.850 OPS if he's capable of playing lf, i would love that over trading him. i just assumed they don't see it as a real option since they kind of abandoned it.

    i didn't imply the cubs couldn't come back from 5-6 games back You’re ranting about how they might not be able to do it just because past teams did it. This team did it. If they find themselves 5-6 back again they may or may not come back, but they certainly can, because they already did in April and it has nothing to do with past years. you're interpreting the things i said based on the way he responded to them. i said they're going to fall 5-6 games back. he immediately jumped to talking about how that's no big deal because what's happened in the past. then i pointed out that having done it in the past doesn't mean it's something that will be easily repeated, or that can be counted on. i didn't imply anything more about a 5 game deficit than the obvious, which is that it would suck and make the job in the second half more difficult.
