  1. Terrible suggests that the rotation was worse with him in it than not and that's not the case
  2. One thing we have in common here is that we are both not letting results color our thoughts on process. Don't know where you got that for me. Rcal already argued my point for me better. If that play works 35% of the time, it's a good send. You're leaving lot of expected value on the table by being so risk-averse in your process. 4th down game theory is a really good analogy for this, it's basically the same thing
  3. Here's the list of guys who add something on offense right now: Nico Shaw Happ Dansby Castro maybe? Ouch.
  4. Well at least you're consistent. Consistently incorrect. How do you feel about going for it on 4th down?
  5. So you no longer agree with the point you re-iterated 20 mins ago?
  6. I didn't mind that send. Some of you are REALLY prone to letting bad results make you bitch about good processes. Someone drove by Happ yesterday when complaining about Seiya - he's one of our only hitters consistently barreling the ball over the last week - but he's running into bad luck. So therefore he SUCKS. Be less dumb.
  7. Good to see Seiya barrel one, regardless of result. I figured if a regular got a rest against a righty today, it would be him
  8. I'm really thrilled with PCA's game today. He took some pitches and wasn't selling out for power and it showed. That single on the curve in the zone was really beautiful. And he did it without the adrenaline rush of having to make a great place in CF. His BA is.comfortably in the 270s now and if he has games like this occasionally he's going to keep his value up and stay in the 4 spot even when not hitting for exceptional power
  9. It is quite something to watch a professional hitter visibly horsefeathers himself in every clutch situation
  10. What? No. First of all, he absolutely scalded the ball, just really unlucky placement. PCA still advanced to 3rd. Absolutely did his job Seems silly to assume a perfect bunt from Happy anyway
  11. Chourio to right, Tucker to left, Happ to the bench, but that it's it
  12. That was a strike. Don't swing at hot trash and that won't happen
  13. I don't think there's any offer out there for Gore that lets a team keep their Horton
  14. Good lord if all it took to land Gore was Caissie, Wiggins, and Alcantara, we would have done that already
  15. Would you rather Watch replays of Seiya and Busch's ABs on a loop for 15 mins Be waterboarded
  16. I have a good feeling about Brown today. Anecdotally, he's leaving less stuff over the plate to get crushed lately, and you have a good chance to frustrate the white sox as long as you locate. I think he can afford to be off the plate and still get chase today, too.
  17. Feels like it's been quite some time since we saw the cubs grind pitchers down like that. Great to see!
  18. The curveball is good, but he hasn't had to throw it for strikes against us. Frustrating to see us expand the zone against it
