I essentially stopped watching the NFL on the regular well before the Kaepernick stuff happened. Now I'll be actively avoiding it & talking horsefeathers on it as often as I can. This over the top, faux patriotism & fetishization of the military has gotten so gross.

It's hard for me to get excited about any good pitching performances in our system thinking that there likely isn't anything better than a BOR starter among the lot of them. I wish I could think differently about the talent (or lack thereof), but I just can't. I hope to be proven wrong. -
That Jason Heyward guy sure looks good. A good GM would be wise to acquire him from the Cubs.

I sincerely feel bad for the guy. I mean, online personas are oftentimes bull horsefeathers, but assuming just for a moment this is who he is, it truly must be awful to live the life he's living, with this level of constant disappointment.

It's so cool how Braves fans pay homage to Native Americans during these sporting events.

When the braves demand a new stadium in a few years, they should have the foresight to coerce enough financing to put on a retractable roof. People are saying it rains quite a bit down yonder.

Success can be really fleeting. That's why, IMO, it's better to enjoy what we have rather than fall into despair at every negative occurrence.

I get the sense from fans I know IRL that there's some angst, specifically, that the Cubs apparently aren't the juggernaut that the Astros are showing themselves to be. I've tried talking some fans off the ledge to no avail.
