    That is why Flus' seat is NOT even warm right now, much less hot. So unless the Bears are something like 2-7 after 9, I don't expect Flus seat to be hot until possibly next season.

    PCA is going to be one of those guys that when he gets to the playoffs, he will just simply level up. I wish we could see that this year, but I definitely want to see it happen next year.

    Any chance the offensive struggles were in part rust, due to lack of live game action for three weeks? If not mistaken none of the starters played against the Chiefs, which Caleb and the starters have not played since August 17 against the Bengals? Before people mentioned the defense not playing since August 17, the difference is the defense has continuinity, whereas the offense is breaking in a new QB, RB, two WR and a TE, not to mentioned a new OC. So is it possible that it might take a few weeks before the offense finds it's legs?

    People want to focus on how bad Williams look, alrighty then, but the whole offense sucked. That is on Waldron. If the Bears can win with defense and special teams, imagine what this team can do when (yes when) the offense gets going. I suspect Caleb and the offense will look better next week against a tougher team.

    Absolutely. None of those QB's have the talent around them that Williams. does. Which is why you really can not compare Caleb's situation with those other 1.1 picks. Not only do I expect the Bears to win Caleb's debut, I expect them to win at least 9 games.

    I'd still have Horton over Birdsell but will stipulate that it is based on if Horton can stay healthy.

    At least the Cubs won't miss the playoffs by one game this year. So we got that going for us.
