  1. Greetings everyone. I'm currently reading The Cubs Way by Tom Verducci. I've also read George Will's book A Nice Little Place on the North Side, Have any recommendations on any other Cubs books? Thank you in advance.
  2. Actually, I'm a long-time Steelers season ticket holder. Are you always that wrong?
  3. Where do you have Andy Reid ranked in your all-time NFL head coaches list?
  4. Where do you have Patrick Mahomes ranked in your all-time QB list?
  5. Brutal. I feel for their fans and they have a nice ballpark. Watching Rockies baseball it's a good thing Coors Field has a brewery as part of the park.
  6. Players and managers still cannot bet on baseball. That has not changed.
  7. I just looked at SeatGeek for ticket prices for their games. Wow. All more than $150+ for every game at all locations.
  8. I remember when the Pirates traded Moises Alou for Zane Smith. They ended up giving up a guy that would hit 332 home runs, be a six-time All-Star, drive in 1,287 runs and hit .303 lifetime for 47 wins in six years from Zane Smith. Same as when the Pirates traded Aramis Ramirez and Kenny Lofton and cash to the Cubs for Matt Bruback, Jose Hernandez and Bobby Hill.
  9. Looking back at 2016, I can't help but think you had Rizzo, Zobrist, Russell, Bryant, and Baez all young, and then Lester, Arrieta, Hendricks, Lackey and Hammel as your starters, plus Schwarber and Heyward, and knowing the Cubs had money to pay their stars and get free agents if necessary. I thought the Cubs were built to win more than one World Series. Certainly make more than one. It's still something I can't get over it didn't happen.
  10. Imagine reaching nine statistical criteria that only seven other major league baseball players out of more than 20,000 that have played the sport have reached. Andrew McCutchen is in very select company. https://www.thesportscol.com/2024/12/andrew-mccutchen-is-in-very-select-company/
