    Folks around town are going nuts about the Predators. This area is starving for a sports team to rally around. It's been a while since UT or the Titans have been really good and Vandy is what it is, collegiate baseball title notwithstanding.

    My buddy is selling games 3 and 5. We picked game 4 because we could clinch and game 5 isn't guaranteed. Would be pissed if we waited until game 5 and it didn't happen.

    I make the chili like I normally would, then sear the pork and throw it in for several hours. I usually make it in the morning on a Sunday and it cooks throughout the first games and is ready for around halftime of the second games. My typical recipe is very similar to what Drew Magary once wrote about and reposts every year. But I have more beans and more types of beans. Kidney, white, black you name it. The can of corn and chicken broth were both valuable additions I hadn't considered before reading his recipe. http://deadspin.com/5882376/the-drew-magary-super-bowl-chili-recipe This is basically what I do, but I add some chickpeas/garbanzo beans, hickory smoked pork sausage(Mayo's) and use chili's in adobo sauce in lieu of jalapeno's.

    I don't know if I'm ready to have a favorite team, I'm just trying to watch as many matches as possible right now. The Timbers fans were great though. Had a chance to go to a Sounders match as well, but I had to see about a girl. We have a football club here now, it's part of the NPSL and moving to the USL in '18. Thinking of getting season tix. The national teams always draw pretty well here, so I feel it's only a matter of time.
