    Man, the hype for Jeff Samardzija in the post-game Daytona show is pretty high.

    Iowa tied 2-2 with Round Rock in the fourth inning. Daytona leads it 7-2 after 8 innings. Peoria up 7-3 in the fourth inning in Wisconsin.

    Jesse Estrada is out of the pen to relieve Mitch Atkins. Mitch's final line is: 6 IP, 2 ER, 4 H, 4 K, 1 BB, 1 HR. Iowa gets 1 run back in the top of the second, they're down 2-1 in the bottom of the second. Billy Muldowney gave up 2 in the bottom of the second and the Chiefs now lead it 7-2 in the third inning.

    That 6-1 K-BB is great, especially after his control problems at West Tenn last season. ------ Daytona leads it 3-2 during the seventh inning stretch.

    Matt Matulia doubles to deep LF (Derek and Matt thought it should be ruled a HR, Jody Davis came out to argue but the umps kept the initial ruling) to score Jake Muyco. Daytona leads it 3-2.

    Daytona and Brevard County are tied up at 2 after 6 innings. Mitch Atkins' night should be over now. Atkins: 6 IP, 2 ER, 4 H, 4 K, 1 BB, 1 HR Tyler Colvin has been superb with the glove in CF, Derek has been raving about him all night.

    I missed the top of the first inning but apparently MiLB.com says Nate Spears stole home for the D-Cubs run. :-s Colvin is 1/1 with a stolen base.
