  1. And why go to him ever again? Because they're hoping he rediscovers how good he was with Detroit. That guy is a weapon in this bullpen.
  2. Geez, if Wilson wasn't going to have even 2 batters, why go to him at all?
  3. 4 XBHs in 2 innings isn't particularly good.
  4. I legimately wondering if Freeman can play defense at this level.
  5. Carolina League top 20 is out. Eloy was number 1, Adbert Alzolay was number 16:
  6. I've seen suggestions that Uehara is likely done for the season.
  7. Last time the Cubs closer blew a save, they won the World Series.
  8. The first 5 months were nice but Duensing sure has turned into a pumpkin in September.
  9. Exactly what I was thinking when Lackey gave up two bombs to the 7 and 8 hitters.
  10. Last year's NLDS counts as younger tho ya that's exactly what i thought of too haha Yesterday's hit was similar enough to Javy's Game 4 hit that I half expected Denard Span to jog the ball back in from CF.
  11. Rockies lose again so the Brewers remain 1 back of WC2 and now the Cardinals are only 1.5 back.
  12. i get so much value out of mlb.tv, it's insane For those who didn't see it: [tweet]https://twitter.com/pmort3225/status/911068717001428993[/tweet]
  13. i think that was mostly just david Actually, I'm pretty sure it was multiple people. But could be wrong. I remember being nervous about his medicals.
  14. FYI, the Brewers broadcast showed a Brewers fan yelling, "It's over, we got this!" the pitch before Javy tied it in the 9th.
  15. What a bad ass win and, as JD said, a second soul-crushing loss in consecutive days for the Brewers.
  16. And Martin was never tagged and didn't go out of the base paths.
  17. 5th year as a Cub. 5th year with a sub-3 ERA. I don't argue facts. Can you explain why I feel uncomfortable every time he pitches? Other than the fact that I tend to be a neurotic mess when I watch the Cubs? Probably because he's pitched in high leverage, tense late game situations for 5 years (and has blown a few of those games).
  18. Strop does nothing to help himself. Ever. Strop is arguably a top 5 reliever in Cubs history and you see him horsefeathers on all the time. It's crazy.
