What’s bizarre is I felt his stuff the last two starts looked like normal (pre-Cub) Yu Darvish. Obviously with pitchers, who the horsefeathers knows, and guys still pitch through these things frequently. Or maybe it happened in a side session, etc. But this timing is odd. Yeah idk, hopefully it’s more precautionary than anything and if it is something hopefully they caught it early to mitigate it being a bigger thing. Also, https://twitter.com/carriemuskat/status/1000511265083715584?s=21 She went on to correct herself and say triceps. We’ll see if it’s so minor that he only misses 2 starts.

When is his spot due up next in Iowa? He’s gonna be needed Wednesday. He’s had a few bad starts in a row though. I assume they’ll go with Montgomery.

    Crap.

AJ Ramos is such a mess. Why would you even bring him in in a walk-off situation last night?

Dexter Fowler was hit by a pitch on the knee and had to leave the game.

The Mets are trotting our a guy with an ERA over 9. Somehow Matt Harvey couldn’t crack that rotation.

    And Efren Navarro DFA’d.
  10. CaliforniaRaisin
The FB velocity is nice considering he was working 89-91 in a 2-inning outing in spring training.

No one likes you, Mets. At least Hader and Knebel won’t be available tomorrow.

Bailey Clark went 4 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 3 K on 58 pitches in his first start of 2018. He topped out at 97. Hopefully he remains in the rotation all season.

My lasting memory of Span is him running in Contreras and Báez’ singles in the 9th inning of Game 4 of the 2016 NLDS. What a light haul for the Rays.

I’m blushing. horsefeathers it. Just ignore anything I post in this thread Though I like to think I tip well.

You saw that idiot Charles the Cat trying to suggest this, didn't you? I did not. I think I saw Clapp retweet the trade during the game today. Just the first spot my mind went with the IFA money talk this week since it’s not like he was getting traded for much and I didn’t know where the Rangers were at penalty wise or that it was too early to do trades for our purposes like TT pointed out. I’m blushing.
  20. CaliforniaRaisin
They aren't. Rangers are always really active in IFA (they just signed the big time Cuban, Julio Pablo Martinez), and I would honestly expect them to ADD IFA money, rather than deal it away. Crazier things have happened I suppose. Got it. Thanks. Roth is a nothing but figured it could’ve been if you like this guy he’s yours for a few hundred grand in IFA money if the were in the penalty Yeah, AAAA types like Roth get traded for cash considerations or nobody PTNBLs. Also none of the IFA money the Cubs acquire before 7/2 can help them in the 2018-19 IFA period, so it would be pointless to acquire international space now.

Joe Maddon is a swell bullpen manager.

    Saladin is this year’s Sogard.
  23. CaliforniaRaisin
Bad defense (even questionable at 1B) and has struggled in wood bat leagues. But he has prodigious power and takes walks.
