  1. Was hoping for more out of Didier Vargas' velocity:

  3. By the way, At Rockies responded to me and a bunch of other Cubs fans bitching about the Bryant HBP. None of us tagged the Rockies twitter account. Freaking weirdos running that account.
  4. Little's final line: 4.2 IP, 4 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 4 K, 2 HR, 7-0 GO-FO, 79-48 pitches-strikes
  5. Also I love that umps miss a guy running out of the basepaths but are all about Javy legally blocking Lamehiu’s view. When did the Rockies turn into the Pirates or the Cardinals?
  6. His breaking stuff is likely not breaking well given the altitude.
  7. The error rule is dumb. It’s not an error if no one touches the ball.
  8. Man, Heyward lost another one earlier today and had some issues seeing the ball in Milwaukee. Not sure what the problem is but he needs better sunglasses/contacts.
  9. Andy Haines probably threw that coffee at Greg Gibson because he knew he’d horsefeathers up that future call.
  10. My eyes tell me no way that ball had a 79% catch probability. And Q’s reaction when the ball was hit confirms it for me
  11. No, but they’ve been headhunting this series and that’s why Cubs coaches were pissed and getting tossed.
  12. KB got beaned. In the head? I'd definitely be throwing at Arenado if so after the horsefeathers they pulled against the Padres And they nearly hit Javy in the head twice Friday. Pitching inside is one thing, head hunting is another. I wouldn’t hit anyone intentionally but the Cubs better not get a guy tossed for the next HBP.
  13. They buzzed Javy twice up in the head on Friday too and then this. All after Arrenado got his knickers twisted when he was hit after like 3 straight Padres were hit. What a shitty organization.
  14. 1-out BB and the another HR to the same guy who hit the HR off Little in the 2nd. 4 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, 2 HR, 6-0 GO-FO, 66-40 pitches-strikes
  15. Little with a 9-pitch 1-2-3 3rd inning. 3 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 3 K, 4-0 GO-FO, 45-29 pitches-strikes Easily his best pro outing. His ERA is below 9.00!
  16. Brendon Little retired the first 5 hitters today before giving up a run and 3 straight hits (solo HR, a "soft" single, an IF single and then a K to get out of the inning). 2 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 3 K, 36-25 pitches-strikes. He only needed 8 pitches in the 1-2-3 first. Duncan Robinson has gotten lit up to the tune of 7 ER in 1+ IP.
  17. Yesterday in Arizona: https://www.thecubreporter.com/04222018/sac-fly-earns-giants-black-tie-indian-school-park 1. Fernando Kelli, DH #1: 1-3 (2B, HBP, 4-3, 3-1, 2 R) 2. Fabian Pertuz, SS: 1-3 (L-9, 1B, 5-3, BB, 2 RBI) 3. Luis Vazquez, DH #2: 0-3 (6-3, HBP, 1-3, L-4 DP, RBI) 10a. Reivaj Garcia, 2B: 1-1 (BB, 1B, R, CS) 1. Didier Vargas: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, 0/1 GO/AO, 17 pitches (14 strikes) 2. Riger Fernandez: 2.0 IP, 4 H, 1 R (1 ER), 1 BB, 1 K, 1 HR, 1 WP, 1/2 GO/AO, 39 pitches (20 strikes)
  18. Was he the Schwarber or Bryant draft? I remember reading a lot about him and hearing/thinking he was definitely in play for us until he had that injury. Bryant draft. Jonathan Gray essentially replaced him as the other top SP option with Mark Appel.
