  1. Unless I’m missing something, the link BA tweeted today was the mock from Tuesday with the Cubs picking prep catcher Anthony Seigler.
  2. And I wouldn’t have complained if they got Turang (who went the pick before) either but Rocker would be great.
  3. Yeah, some interesting and good draftable prospects look to be falling into the 20s. Hopefully a couple of these guys make it to the Cubs and past teams like the Yankees who are picking just in front of them.

  13. You should put Bote McBoteFace in there.
  14. Why did the ump allow Bour to walk after that strike zone against Hancock and Báez?
  15. This is the only time Maples was passed over. All of the guys called up besides Hancock were long men/spot starters, something Maples isn’t. And I’d probably have called up Maples over Hancock. How come? I know it's only 14 and 10 innings, but Maples is still walking everyone and Hancock isn't...and it's not like Maples has some long track record of success to where you lean his way. And both throw very hard. Not great reasons but already being on the 40-man and Maples does have a decided K/9 and K% advantage over Hancock.
  16. This is the only time Maples was passed over. All of the guys called up besides Hancock were long men/spot starters, something Maples isn’t. And I’d probably have called up Maples over Hancock. What about Farrell and Mazzoni or whatever his name was? Farrell, Tseng and Zastryzny were all treated as innings eating long men or spot starters of some sort. You’re right that Mazzoni isn’t a long man but the way he was sent right back down shows he was only there as a bridge to the bullpen day replacing a Darvish, so I wouldn’t hold that against Maples either.
  17. The Mets batted out of order in the first inning. The Mets then batted out of order again in the second inning.

  21. He must speak some English seeing as he didn't need any of the questions translated. Probably just wasn't interested in doing an interview on live TV in his second language, especially as a rookie.
  22. I might be too. Almora’s “cousin” vs Bryant’s BFF. One of them better come through.
  23. Rodriguez went 10, Larnach 21, Rocker 22, Casas 23, Weathers 25, Eierman 26, Scott 27, and Denaburg 32. Jonathan India went 4! Yeah, I'm not big on taking a HS catcher in the first round. Too risky and recent history says it's a bad idea. Where did Carter Stewart and Cole Winn go? Winn went 11, Stewart 15 and, you didn’t ask but Hankins went 17.
