Interestingly, the 2019 SS is Cuban Alex Vargas. The Reds are projected to sign 16-year old Cuban SS Alexander Vargas for $3 million this year. I'm guessing since they made that note about 2019, they're two different Cuban SS. The Cubs can trade to increase their pool all the way to $8,721,125. If Weber signs for slot, they have $241,355 remaining to go over (that works out to a $366,355 for one player signed past the 10th round).

If Weber comes in at slot and you consider the 5% overage, they still have $266,355 to play with. For a pick after the 10th round, that means the bonus would actually be $391,355.
