  1. We really don't know enough about these guys ability or their signability, to really say a team isn't smart for their pick. All we have our videos and various publication's scouting reports. There was a lot of negative stuff said about the Cubs' draft that netted them Schwarber and Cease and the Cubs did pretty well for themselves there.
  2. Or college arms (Singer, Gilbert, McClanahan, Kowar)?
  3. Highest spin rate curveball ever recorded by TrackMan.
  4. Yeah, that seems like the prevailing opinion here. Stewart to Atlanta, Swaggerty to Oakland, Liberatore to Pittsburgh is my guess.
  5. Ohhh...Weathers at 7. There are going to be some well regarded prep arms still available at 24 and Tom is going to be pissed when the Cubs pass on them because they don't have San Diego, Kansas City or Tampa money.
  6. I don't think the Mets have learned their lesson yet so I see them taking Liberatore. Time to run out and buy some arm insurance. They've actually gone a lot more college recently.
  7. https://amp.mlb.com/279764934-final-2018-mock-drafts-from-callis-and-mayo.amp.html#click=https://t.co/I29rptFnN7 Final MLB.com mock: 24. Cubs Callis: Anthony Seigler, C, Cartersville (Ga.) HS Mayo: Ryan Rolison, LHP, Mississippi
  8. BA's updated mock has the Cubs taking Jackson Kowar.

  10. Keith Law went back to Mize in his mock that was just released: http://www.espn.com/mlb/insider/story/_/id/23697521/keith-law-2018-mock-draft-41 Can someone with ESPN Insider please tell us who he has the Cubs picking?

  12. Callis is the best with the Cubs, but it’s way more difficult to peg a team in the 20s.

  15. So Callis, Mayo and Law all have the Cubs taking Anthony Seigler in their latest mock drafts? http://mmbiz.qpic.cn/mmbiz_gif/fic3ENicVS1HxwZ7CUSibyI2Vp89LtyVL40TUdZibqphZpuOibKMwRJ2bOhnw615rZibyvFQGNduEkeLiciaTsTdlewnXA/0?wx_fmt=gif Thanks, I don’t have ESPN Insider.

  17. Keith Law had Bart going 1.1 in his final mock today. You have to balance all the misinformation that comes out today with all the talk for months that the Tigers don’t want to pick a pitcher first. Mize falling to the Phillies is something that was roadmapped in the last Fangraphs mock so it is definitely something that’s been on radars before today.

  19. Yeah, this stuff on Virginia is one of the main reasons so many people are critical of the draft prospects of so many Virginia players.
