  1. Why? A gassed Farrell is still a better bet than a position player. Y’all do realize Farrell was a starter in the minors who can throw 100 pitches if necessary?
  2. Also, if only 4 relievers were available tonight, shame on management for not sending Rosario down for Hancock.
  3. We should still have a couple guys This is all Strops fault. If he could get a couple of outs on Thursday and Friday, Morrow doesn’t come in both games Joe’s fault for not trusting anyone but Morrow with big leads.
  4. Honestly would've traded this effort for Farrell getting Fowler out in St Louis.
  5. Oh, that's why Contreras has been bunting so much lately.

  7. "Robles is now pitching for the Mets. You know, his name rhymes with Goebbels."
  8. I'm calling the 11th inning for when John Smoltz starts saying, "Actually, Hitler had some good ideas..."
  9. Justin Wilson did his job. Why don't you do yours and go for a run? I ALREADY DID, DAMMIT. And now it's storming out. You're supposed to run during the game, storms be damned. Sad.
  10. Justin Wilson did his job. Why don't you do yours and go for a run?
  11. Morrow and Rosario likely aren’t available. Not sure about Cishek, Strop or Duensing but they’ve pitched the last two nights.
  12. I know they wanted offense there but Montgomery definitely could’ve given another inning.
  13. Oh, I'm aware of that. All of them have changed their rankings like a half dozen times this spring alone and I've long expressed a general disdain for rankings. Hell, MLB.com's own writeups give Rocker a 70/60 on his fastball/breaking ball to Rodriguez's 60/55, Schnell average raw power to Meadows' above average, so there are non-talent reasons that factor into these things. The point is that your comments that those two are underslots at 24 and inferior prospects to Meadows and Rocker is certainly not obvious.
  14. I thought he was a bit slower than that (more 90-93). Hmm, I might be getting him confused with Abbott. I thought I remembered seeing that on him too though. Oh well, if it is 90-93, it still plays so far. He's definitely made a ton of progress./b] Without a doubt. Even in the low 90s, he’s got back of the rotation potential which isn’t bad for a 19th round pick. And yeah, I think CubsWin said Abbot was 92-94.
  15. Quit committing errors when the starting pitcher is on a limited pitch count.
  16. He's been sitting 92-94 in at least some starts. I thought he was a bit slower than that (more 90-93).
