Yeah, I could see either playing Indy ball for a year if they only get offered $5K. But the Cubs don't need to underslot that much, or at least they shouldn't at this point. Montes de Oca can go back to Mizzou for another year as a redshirt senior if he wanted

I haven't seen anything like that. Part of the problem with the latter question is some of the folks who work in publications have moved on, either to MLB scouting departments or to other publications (such as Jim Callis from BA to MLB.com), so you can't fairly compare publication to publication.

Let's not mention the other ones that didn't work out... Yeah, I know -- Underwood is still a prospect and has a chance to reach the majors. I'm not high on the other guys on that list. Eh, Underwood should reach the majors and Cease was a hit. Even if Hudson and Estrada are busts, you have to think 2 out of 7 is a pretty good hit rate for prep prospects. I think Steele should make the majors too - early results from return from TJS seem good and if he returns healthy, he'll be at AA by next season.
