6. And Pereda one level ahead of Amaya.
7. At least the Brewers and Cardinals lost. Plus Carlos Martínez might be toast.
8. Rob Burgundy well that escalated quickly.
9. Having Javy leadoff against a guy like Nova is perplexing. Honestly, Nova is the guy you need to start Zobrist or TLS against. Really, the NL is dumb. PH for Hendricks at 86 pitches is at least justifiable though I would’ve preferred the bunt and extend Hendricks one more inning.

11. Thanks for compiling that. The only problem is AZ Phil is only seeing and reporting stats on half the games now that there are two AZL teams. That said, half the stats are enough to think most of those guys should start in Eugene except for Velazquez (already at SB) and maybe Soto/Perez (catcher logjam). Welcome to the board too! Thanks man. I've been here a while before I registered and probably same length again before I posted. Very SSS on all of them. But interesting all the same. Just FYI that's Luis Vazquez not Velazquez in the image. Might do something similar for the pitching prospects. Woof, I don’t know why I misread that. Would love to see the pitchers too if you have the time to put it together.
12. BA on Abbott’s first high-A start:
13. Craig’s link to the Athletic piece on the draft has a lot of good stuff. On focusing on high upside preps: Brennen Davis was one of the prospects who tested well: The Cubs think Herron might not need TJS after reviewing his medicals. On 11th rounder Riley Thompson:

15. A couple of early mock top 10s are out:
16. I'm with you on this. Sure, there are different scouts on the international side vs the draft, but it's the same player development system. The same player development group that turned raw prospects like Eloy and Gleyber and Soler into big time prospects/major leaguers (and failed on Eddy Martínez) have also succeeded on Almora and failed on Hannemann and Wilson. And while they didn't draft him, they also developed Javier Báez. The success rate across baseball is not great for high risk teenage prospects, especially the later you draft them.
17. His arm is generally considered his best defensive asset. He threw out 29 of 70 guys last year (41%), down to 16 of 56 this year (29%) but he's been much better recently.

20. Glad to hear but maybe don’t pitch him everytime a competent reliever gives up a baserunner up 4 in the 9th.
