Wiggins probably done. Went 1 and gave up a homer but now a lightning delay.
  5. CaliforniaRaisin
I’ll eat a hat if the Cubs pick Bumila in the first. I absolutely could see them drafting Kerce. Possibly even earlier than the 3rd.

    Cabo Verde forever
  7. CaliforniaRaisin
Wish he could hit even a little.

Ethan Conrad 0/4 with a walk tonight. One of the outs was a 105 mph lineout. Fernando Cruz did hit a HR (427 ft, 111.3 mph).
  9. CaliforniaRaisin
    Only 1 walk tonight!

Enrique Oropeza hit his 4th DSL homer today. OPS is 1.277, walking more than he strikes out and BA says the 17 year old's exit velos are good.

Re: México's players - they've played and likely only been in México City (7220') or Guadalajara (5154') since at least the opening of the World Cup on June 11th (they were probably training at elevation before that too). 2-3 consecutive weeks is normally enough time to acclimate to altitude so they should easily have physical advantage over a team like England that gets, what, 4 days at elevation? With regards to Azteca being a tough place to play, you are probably right that the advantage will be muted against England.

I think England is better and I’m not sold on México BUT I speak from experience, 7’200’ is a bitch to run in. And my experience was in the Sierras with good air quality, unlike what they’ll deal with at Azteca. England just doesn’t have time to acclimate (and their last two matches have been second half comebacks, they’ll feel worse in the second half with the altitude).

Easily. Those blokes can’t handle the altitude and they might accidentally taste or smell Mexican food too.

horsefeathers that piece of horsefeathers ref. Ignored multiple yellows and then that red. I hope the ref can’t get the John Denver earworm out of his head for the rest of his life.

Myrtle Beach posted a few Instagram pics of Wing and he wasn’t in a cast, sling, brace or anything like that…so fingers crossed.
  22. CaliforniaRaisin
Rojas had tough sledding considering his position. Plus who can resist the storyline of Mark’s son at the ASG, playing for the rival of one of Mark’s big league teams?
  23. CaliforniaRaisin
BA also updated their org top 30s. Alcántara graduated. Caple, Beck and Schlaffer were new adds. Southisene at 9 is the shocker (besides their odd preference for Kepley over Wiggins and Conrad):
  24. CaliforniaRaisin
I think Rojas is too low.
  25. CaliforniaRaisin
BA has Reid’s injury as a right shoulder impingement
