    I don't see how you can say that when the jury is still out on the new development team. Justin Stone was hired as Director of Hitting in fall 2019 and the Cubs haven't had a hitting prospect come up and get regular playing who was primarily in the minors under Stone.

    There won't be an International Draft during this CBA. I was thinking it was more likely due to Pipeline being a part of MLB and wanting to distance itself from the unsavory handshake deals with 14 year olds that rightfully get a lot of bad publicity.

    Every organization calls up (and sometimes even demotes) guys to playoff teams because their non-playoff affiliates' seasons are normally over so these prospects will get more playing time + a chance to play in a higher stakes environment. But that said, most teams don't have multiple top 100-200 prospects to add to their playoff affiliate.
