  1. Owen Caissie with his second homer of the game. Leads the SL with 20 and is OPSing .943 at 21.
  2. Aliendo and Caissie with homers for Tennessee. Christian Franklin with a HR for South Bend.
  3. Shaw triples in his first South Bend at bat. Triantos then homers.
  4. Shaw batting second at SS, Rivera batting fifth at 3B for South Bend. They sandwich Triantos and Ballesteros in a fun lineup (that should only get more fun when Alcántara comes back).
  5. Alcántara isn’t on the South Bend IL.
  6. I’m with Craig, this feels more like making sure the Cubs are under the first luxury tax threshold after adding Jeimer and possibly making another move today.
  7. Brad did the research since at least 2006 for you:
  8. Zyhir Hope just hit his first professional home run.
  9. Scheduled Games (Central Time): Iowa vs. Toledo, 6:38 pm Tennessee vs. Chattanooga, 6:00 pm South Bend vs. Wisconsin, 6:05 pm Myrtle Beach at Down East, 6:00 pm ACL Cubs at ACL White Sox, 8:00 pm DSL Cubs Blue vs. DSL Tigers 1 (game one), 9:00 am DSL Cubs Blue at DSL Tigers 1 (game two), TBD DSL Cubs Red vs. DSL Orioles Orange, 10:00 am Probable Starters: Iowa: RHP Caleb Kilian (82.1 IP, 4.15 ERA, 5.09 FIP, 61 K, 27 BB) Tennessee: RHP Walker Powell (77.2 IP, 4.06 ERA, 5.19 FIP, 69 K, 16 BB) South Bend: RHP Luis Devers (28 IP, 6.75 ERA, 6.26 FIP, 21 K, 21 BB) Myrtle Beach: RHP Nick Hull (68.1 IP, 3.82 ERA, 3.72 FIP, 68 K, 28 BB)
  10. Cubs fall to 7 after trading away Made and Herz. Sounds like Kiley has the Nats 5, Yankees 6, Cubs 7 and Rays 8 now.
  11. Since MB announced their promotions, I assume they’re both going to South Bend or maybe one (Rivera would be my guess) is aggressively going to Tennessee.
  12. The Royals are the most backward pitching org on the majors. The Cubs are betting on their lab.
  13. Already some 2023 draftees on the move
  14. Now time to go get a reliever.
  15. (Confirmation from the media)
  16. With Made traded, it would be nice to get Shaw and/or Rivera up to South Bend by tomorrow.
  17. It's Herz and Made
  18. He just needs to maintain his Rookie of the Year eligibility and September doesn't count for service time, so he just needs to maintain fewer than 130 at bats in the majors in 2023.
  19. If I may add, both of the prospects are Rule 5 eligible for the first time this offseason.
