  1. Clearly Cutler has never faced 3 such terrible defenses in succession, right? If he did, the offense probably averaged more than 19 points a game.
  2. Back to CFL.
  3. I'm not negating what Hoyer has done these three games or his career. I've actually always liked Hoyer, but I think its silly to think theres been some new development that should be making us reevaluate his career. He's done a good job, but the offense still has little to show for it, and he's shown he still has some real limitiations.
  4. I would not willingly let Alshon walk and plan to have Meredith planned as part of my top 3 WR core. His play early on should put White on notice though. He was equally as raw as White coming out...
  5. This is probably the best 3 games of his career, let alone consecutive. I'm still weighting the other 25 or whatever. And sure the NFL is a developmental league. Good teams develop players all the time. Maybe, but guys like Hoyer are your poster boys for development. I don't feel comfortable banking on the Rich Gannon career track. Seriously can't think of another example like that either.

  7. If Garrrapolo was doing this, I'd be driving the release Cutler in the offseason bandwagon. So i dont get the difference. Potential v the known.
  8. If some young QB were doing what Hoyer was, we'd be all, yeah, we're fine. If Garrrapolo was doing this, I'd be driving the release Cutler in the offseason bandwagon.
  9. But the Bears really should have been trying harder the past few years at developing a QB. Hopefully 2017 is when they start.
  10. I promise I'm being open minded. I don't see any reason Hoyer should be replacing healthy Cutler. He's done exactly what you hope a backup QB can do. Cutler still gives you a better chance.
  11. I'm okay with moral victories.
  12. Damnit. Not the matchup I would have liked there. Why?
  13. I think he's just as fast as forte. However, Forte stayed healthy by knowing when to get those cleats up. It also caused him to go down ar the slightest touch. As current Forte or young Forte? Young Forte was definitely faster. Howard definitely doesn't have break away speed, but hes fast in other ways it seems.
  14. You mean a true emergency or a backup? Barkley is active and the backup.
  15. I wasn't going to leap to better than White because of sample size for each, but it does highlight the one if the primary issues with the White pick - value. Hoyer is not going to be the next Rich [expletive] Gannon, I feel pretty comfortable about that. Im not sure, his throws are pretty good and very steady. He's not managing games. Rich Gannon is like the only example of the prototype I can think of ever. Hoyer's always had his moments, but hell get exposed as a fringey starter if he gets chances against better Ds,
  16. Better than White. Hoyer looking good. Be our Rich Gannon. I wasn't going to leap to better than White because of sample size for each, but it does highlight the one if the primary issues with the White pick - value. Hoyer is not going to be the next Rich horsefeathering Gannon, I feel pretty comfortable about that.
  17. Meredith looking... pretty good.
  18. I think it was Ernie Johnson talking the other night about a play similar to Javy's reversed call. He doesn't think temporary disconnect with the base should be reversed. Yes in the case of an over-slide or overrunning the base. But replay review was not really meant to correct calls like the Javy slide. I actually agree with him. I don't know. Seems silly not to use it for that purpose as long as its there. Its not like its subjective, ie the neighborhood play.
  19. Christopher Columbus coming through big time. I have the day off. NBD. Does that give you Tuesday off or something? Doh.
