  1. I'm just not enamored with the top of this draft.
  2. Yea, he definitely has given himself some breathing room. Although, you are overstating "6 solid starters." I count three. The other three you listed don't have a large enough body of work to make any definitive statements like that. 2015 still could shake out to be a decent draft, though right now has been pretty hampered by injury.
  3. Who would rather watch Devin Hester run bad routes over Josh Bellamy drop balls?
  4. Thats awesome news Raw! TE of the future! horsefeathers Zach Miller!
  5. Hes more than I expected, which is to say, still worthy of being a backup in this league. Hope they have a real plan for a starter if its not Jay next year. This D is good enough for us to win some games. he throws quite the floaterpoor mans Chad Pennington?

  7. Well that was pathetic Timu.
  8. Man, that last page nearly broke my brain. I'll go on record as liking this move. Soler just didnt have a serious role to play here.
  9. You certainly can. I like Fangio, but unless you want him running the whole show he's still less important than whoever that is.
  10. Franchise value isn't directly correlated to actual current revenues. Doesnt PTR have like a deed to the team he can bring in to the payday loan shop and get an advance?
  11. 2017 with fox and no fangio would be funny You just gotta demand better results when you trot out a DB of day 3 picks and UDFA.
  12. agreed forced QB selections that have no business going that high on their own merit is how you turn into the Cleveland Browns. Spend your high picks on elite players. Find a decent QB to play with that team of elite players. I don't disagree with that. If we pick a QB that high though, hopefully he is skilled enough that we shouldn't be worried about ruining him. If thats not the case, yes were back to the point that we forced a QB pick.
  13. Well I wouldnt want two vets if they keeping 3 QBs. So it would be Hoyer or Barkley for me. Possible cost considerations aside, I'd still go Hoyer right now. I mean going into training camp, not the season. But I'd want two vets as a buffer to prevent them from putting a rookie out with these teammates. To protect the rookie?
  14. He would need to play the next 4 games at a relatively high level for me to say that. If you're going to go ahead and spend that early 1st on a QB, and you aren't bringing Cutler back. Then why the hell not start the season with Barkley? Maybe Barkley and Hoyer. Well I wouldnt want two vets if they keeping 3 QBs. So it would be Hoyer or Barkley for me. Possible cost considerations aside, I'd still go Hoyer right now.
  15. Although looking at what Osweilier got, 4 more games of decent football could just make him stupid expensive.
  16. He would need to play the next 4 games at a relatively high level for me to say that.
  17. Man that was a pretty ugly game, but Matt Barkley might actually be a passable backup QB?
  18. They're 4th in point differential, which is a pretty good indicator of future success (fyi - the Warriors have a PD of 12 lol)
  19. Yep. Zobrist followed by some combo of Bryant, Rizzo, Schwarbs. Then Russel. Then some combo of Heyward, Baez, Contreras. I really think it's time to let go of the CF Heyward lineups, for now (unless you're advocating for CF Zobrist or CF Baez?) Shoot. Total brain fart. Make that Baez/Heyward. With Jay/Almora as the third.
  20. I would hope Zobrist becomes our leadoff hitter with Schwarber back inthe lineup. Yep. Zobrist followed by some combo of Bryant, Rizzo, Schwarbs. Then Russel. Then some combo of Heyward, Baez, Contreras.
  21. What is this threshold? Same as the previous first round/second round threshold?
  22. Eh, I think it would need at least one tackle upgrade, like raw said.
  23. Their interior is a strength, but the tackles suck. They can turn the line into something solid. Whitehair and Long should be very good for a long time. But Sitton is going to be 31 next year and his body looks like it may start deteriorating at some point in the near future. I suspect they'll need another guard at least by the end of 2018. As for the tackles, I think either Massie or Leno would be OK if they had a strong tackle on the opposite side of them. Basically, if one of them was clearly the worst OL on the field...then you'd probably have a pretty good line. But it's hard to hide 2 weak spots as you can't leave TEs in or chip w/ RBs on both sides at the same time. Good news- Massie's contract is easy to cut loose. Bad news, this FA class sucks.
  24. I mean its football. You're perpetually in danger of almost any position group being decimated within two years. They definitely need to spend a high pick on a QB, but I dont't think it has to be in the first if you feel really comfortable with the alternatives and its an impact position. Wish there was a more premier LT prospect this year. They should also consider a 4th round QB as well ala Washington when they went RG3/Cousins.
