  1. It's terrible, but hearing it makes me happy Same
  2. Last year they made a run, and we got worried... and then they did fall off. In 03 we came in to September just about tied with them, and then almost swept a 5 game series with them, including an amazing comeback win that I was at.* I was also at the game where Alou got shafted out of the go ahead double. I have yet to see a replay of it, but everyone who called someone at home at the time said the replays showed it fair. *Nevermind the fact that I left the game after Drew's grand slam. Nobody needs to know about that.
  3. It's the most beautiful song in the world. Which song? I'm guessing Go Cubs Go
  4. I have a hard time saying that, despite the present standings. I'm still more worried about Milwaukee than about St. Louis. That said, them losing their second best starter does make me worry a bit less about them.
  5. Wow. SD really took it in the butt on that deal, huh? Well, that was too easy.
  6. Ah. Got it. Yea, I was thinking the same thing when I heard Grace talking about it on the radio this morning.
  7. I'm not getting why this game is reminiscent of that one, though. What did I miss?
  8. Ha, I remember that. Was that the same series (same game, maybe?) as the Prior vs. Clemens matchup?
  9. This makes 4 straight decent to great starts from TRL, I think he's back. The lack of velocity still concerns me. Why the hell is he throwing 85-86 when he was throwing 90-91 last year? He's touching 88-91 regularly on the fastball, and it's a cool day, doesn't seem too worrisome. Ah. Pat & Otto were saying that he was working around 85-86 all game.. If what you say is true, I'm a bit less worried.

  11. Would be nice to turn it back around against the best team in baseball (this year).
  12. OBP by outs 0 - .367 1 - .407 2 - .332 With 2 outs RISP .344. They don't really get on a lot with 2 outs, and when they do it's more often with risp than anything else. Damn you and your facts.
  13. You're opposed to strategy? Honestly, I'd rather see the "strategy" of the pitcher battling a better hitter in a tough spot than the cop-out of walking an actual (I guess we can call Reed that) hitter to face an easy out. You know what they say about opinions, though. LOL, the D'Backs paid anyway, though.
