Is it though? I mean, I know he's made some bad plays, but are there stats that bear out that he's bad? I don't know what defensive stats are considered the good ones right now. Surprised that you'd miss this. Yes, he grades out horribly terribad and it seems like we're always talking about it. Last year was so bad that I almost wanted to chalk it up as a "he can't possibly be that bad" fluke. This year, he's been worse.

Just stop. The guy still plays fantastic defense and he's had a whopping 6 bad games to make up his current slump. Since there's nobody they need to make space for who's going to do better you just let him play through it, y'know, like you want a developing player to do. He's struck out 8 times in 4 games now. Yeah after seemingly hitting rockets everywhere and taking walks for those few weeks there he seems to really be struggling the past ~2 weeks. I haven't looked at the numbers to know if that's true but it seems like it's been a while since he's made some hard contact and he's striking out a lot.
