  1. they're not even gonna tie. we're going to just lose here.
  2. sweet more 2 strike hits. at least this was with one ball.
  3. losing a game you had such a big lead in that you had like a 90% chance of winning in the second inning is an extra hard kick to the nuts that's why for me, at least
  4. coomer has a real problem with the cardinals using their closer here.
  5. fwiw i think len has the perfect "excited disappointment" delivery when the other team does something good in an exciting way
  6. except on defense. btw i would've gone with bizarro billy hamilton
  7. I don't really have an opinion on Pat the broadcaster. I like Pat the person, as much as I know of him, fine. But I'm far from the only person here who has expressed similar sentiments about how the excitement in his voice when bad things happen confuses the hell out of them. I'm hearing that cadence and I think Rizzo is knocking a ball through the infield...NOPE it's Matt Adams making a great play. Sweet. Now I'm jumping to the exact opposite emotion from what I expected. I'm not a huge fan of Pat but I love that this sort of thing upsets people. It's not like it's Coomer blabbing incoherently for a couple minutes. Pat's going to react to a great play and describe that great play accurately. It's not difficult to follow along, assuming you know how to interpret human expressions of emotion. Yeah, I'm not blaming him for doing it that way. I just can't handle it as a listener. My fault, not his.
  8. Your dislike of Pat is really, really weird. I don't really have an opinion on Pat the broadcaster. I like Pat the person, as much as I know of him, fine. 9. i hate listening on the radio so much pat's excited voice when bad things happen infuriates me i think that's part of why i'm one of the game thread lunatics today
  10. yeah, that's what he needs. he's just not trying hard enough.
  11. i'm slowly growing to hate heyward a tiny little bit, not gonna lie
  12. lol is this horsefeathers really happening? this is like a replay of last year's game
  13. i'm ok with not having to watch us pitch anytime soon, even if we just spend the whole time fouling off pitches
  14. Do you not know how unions work? Umpires make all that money for that little work precisely because they have a strong union. I lol'd. It's not even little work...You've got every Tom, Dick, and Harry hounding you if they recognize you, which is easier than ever, because everyone is an expert these days. People should wonder why their industry doesn't have a strong union despite all the work they put in...but now I've goofed and gone political. You think people hound umpires in public?
  15. you better atone for your sins you scumbag
  16. I would not give up any of our top prospects for Teheran, much less multiple ones.
  17. i would love to know how many of our runs have been given up with either 2 outs or 0-2 counts.
  18. uhhhhh did that really just happen? what in the horsefeathering hell?
