  1. JP Crawford? Maybe?
  2. btw i'd say this pretty much qualifies as a sleeve https://www.instagram.com/p/BGDiHzXlIos/
  3. And it pretty much goes back to the last two months of last season.
  4. And that he doesn't actually describe what happened.
  5. you can like people who suck at things and dislike people who are good he sucks at his job but he generally comes off as likeable in a goofy bumpkin kinda way. Maybe he is likable around the office but my only interaction with him is how he performs at his job and he is absolutely terrible at it so he sucks. I don't disagree that he sucks, but that doesn't mean a person can't like him (I certainly don't...but I understand why people would). You still get an idea of how he is as a person and his personality since his job is literally to be a person talking about stuff. It appears some people like his personality. John Lackey is very good at pitching and is still hated because he's a jerk. Starlin Castro sucks and is beloved by many here (granted, he was at least good at one time).
  6. So you like him, just not on the radio. What else is there? That one season he played for the Cubs? you can like people who suck at things and dislike people who are good he sucks at his job but he generally comes off as likeable in a goofy bumpkin kinda way.
  7. P sure that's how we've done it every year we've gotten to the playoffs.
  8. lmao this guy did this exact thing on that mets refugees site today, only that was one asking if utley is gotham's biggest villain or something
  9. am i the only one who has like no clue what the rotation is right now and for the past few days has had no idea who is starting the next game? usually i am pretty aware of this, but i don't even know when arrieta is going next...tomorrow?
  10. He's just grouchy that the first pitch is going to interrupt his supper. hahaha
  11. Nobody is actually "disgruntled" over Lackey's performance; it's pretty much all an ongoing bit about how unlikable he is as a person. Also: nobody is fawning over Heyward while he's been struggling so much as hoping and expecting him to break out of it due to his track record. Try and grasp this....and then try and grasp THIS. People fawned over Heyward in a big time way in the offseason. And I could never get incredibly excited over giving nearly 200 million to a corner outfielder with defensive ability being a big part of the reasoning. Heyward, for the most part in his career, has never even been a great on-base threat. Good, but not 25+ million a year good. And with his ground ball inducing swing I don't see the power coming in large doses. have you not seen enough of his defense (and baserunning, for that matter) by now to realize how valuable he is when he actually hits to his career norms? i'm not the biggest fan of his bat in the corner OF but watching him on a daily basis it is obvious that he brings extraordinary defensive value and has saved us a lot of runs that way. enough so that he's basically on pace for a 2 win (league average) season despite not being able to hit his way out of a wet paper bag for 2 months. yes, he has been bad at the plate this year so far. you won't find anybody arguing otherwise.
  12. Nah, I just really got a kick out of his weird pic from the cookbook and it reminded me how much I liked the "Ted Lilly is a psycho" meme. Though now that I know it bugs you, well, it's just that much more special. it doesn't bother me at all...just thought it was funny. bring on all the TRL.
  13. very few people actually thought lackey sucked. this thread was mostly a jokey response to a bad game (in which he got schwarber killed on purpose) since a lot of posters here hate lackey because he's kind of a big meatbally red assed jerk. i don't care that he is at all, but a lot of people do, apparently.
  14. perfect time for a free trial of a blocker
  15. Lol mojo is so jealous that butters is getting all the attention that he's trying to make the Ted Lilly thing a thing
  16. It was really good last year, so light years might be overstating things.
  17. if shawon dunston hit a walkoff in one of those games, i actually remember that series against the phillies. that was my first season watching baseball.
  18. when i read your first sentence, i thought you were nuts, but i actually totally agree with your reasoning until god mode comes back.
  19. lol that feels like the first time i've seen miggy pull one at wrigley right before that pitch i was thinking "the obp looks fine, just need some more slg"
  20. but his look douchey. big difference Well, Baez does have the MLB logo on the back of his neck. I want Baez to become the conduit of Cubs hate from other teams' fans though. I'm no fan of tattoos but getting the MLB logo on your neck when you're 18 right above where it would be on a jersey and then actually making it to playing in MLB is far more awesome than it is douchey.
  21. They may not be full sleeves but they have huge forearm tattoos either way which are just about as terrible.
  22. Can't believe I forgot to mention klay
  23. Haha awesome.
