I don't really have an opinion on Pat the broadcaster. I like Pat the person, as much as I know of him, fine. But I'm far from the only person here who has expressed similar sentiments about how the excitement in his voice when bad things happen confuses the hell out of them. I'm hearing that cadence and I think Rizzo is knocking a ball through the infield...NOPE it's Matt Adams making a great play. Sweet. Now I'm jumping to the exact opposite emotion from what I expected. I'm not a huge fan of Pat but I love that this sort of thing upsets people. It's not like it's Coomer blabbing incoherently for a couple minutes. Pat's going to react to a great play and describe that great play accurately. It's not difficult to follow along, assuming you know how to interpret human expressions of emotion. Yeah, I'm not blaming him for doing it that way. I just can't handle it as a listener. My fault, not his.
