His hands start lower because in theory it's supposed to make it easier to create an upward swing plane. Yeah, I said the same thing when the videos were posted showing off his 'new swing' a couple of months ago. His adjustments looked like they might actually exacerbate his issues. Hope we don't have to weather a .600 OPS from our full time RF. i'd just like to point out that i'm pretty sure our coaching staff and front office has a better idea of these things and if there were problems in the video from months ago that were that obvious, they probably know about them too. i'm not usually the defer to authority guy but jeez. when it comes to scouting type evaluations of mechanics and whatnot, i'll go ahead and trust them for now and wait and see what the results actually are. not to mention the fact that heyward has always looked like a huge goof at the plate and was only awful last year.
