ehh baez has like an 8% walk rate for his career vs lefties, which is pretty respectable, and around a .340 OBP including his awful 2014. and, for whatever it's worth, almora has walked like 8% of the time in his limited time vs lefties (with a ridiculous .315/.367/.589 line) i don't have any issue with it vs a lefty also, maybe it's not approach/discipline and it's just a lesser ability to read same handed pitching

Eh Baez and Almora are both very good vs lhp

i hate his impotent bat, but i'm still optimistic on his fielding probably way too early to glean much meaningful info from his stats but they kind of support the idea he's ranged far to make some highlight reel plays, though he's fared poorly on more routine attempts; anecdotally it seems like a few situations deferring to others, or in-between hits he hasn't fully committed to- wonder about added assertiveness as he gains comfort at any rate we're probably greedy to expect much better than a league-average starter [tweet] [/tweet]

http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/51231442/v1083388883/chc-sd-russell-robs-myers-with-a-spectacular-stop http://m.mlb.com/news/article/198889164/addison-russell-robs-pirates-with-great-catch/ the catch in medium left was great. as for the myers one, he made a similar diving stop, but today's was harder as he was diving to his right and had to make a much tougher throw.
