  1. and you're posting it here because you just can't help yourself
  2. These are table stakes for being a manager, doing them isn't worthy of credit and praise, but to avoid being fired mid-season. also, i'm not sure if pitcher abuse points are seen as completely irrelevant or not by now, but iirc the nationals still had 4 of the top 15 this year.
  3. Bud Black, no? yup
  4. or if we didn't have a concussed LB miss a call that led to the falcons TE coming wide open and scoring that TD. or the 15 attempts missed in the endzone at the end.
  5. you seriously just banned him for that? dude who is almost never around but happens to have been designated a mod like 10 years ago is pretty quick with the ban stick. Agreed although sulley's response was strangely aggressive for an innocent comment. Is there some sort of OO/sulley history I am forgetting? not to me. that's just sulley. we've all been around for almost 15 years. we all insult each other all the time. kyle's name is based off an imb insult, ffs. but OO shows up, gets called a jackass once and the ban stick comes out? ok.
  6. almost forgot this defense lost one of its best players in week 1 in freeman
  7. i mean, they're 3-4, their defense is showing out big time, and they've had one of the more difficult schedules in the league to open the season. people were predicting 0-7 through this stretch and receiving very little argument.
  8. Um, Brett Hundley is the QB of the Packers, jackass. This division is winnable. Knock it off with the personal attacks when you come back. you seriously just banned him for that? dude who is almost never around but happens to have been designated a mod like 10 years ago is pretty quick with the ban stick.
  9. Maybe. I need to see more games where they win without needing balls popping right into their hands for returnable turnovers. You're gonna have good luck days and bad luck days, but winning on two very good luck days in a row probably shouldn't change our opinion of the team too much. what kind of luck day was the falcons game? (fwiw, i'm not changing my opinion based on two weeks. i thought that going into the season.)
  10. i just am not sure there's any way to tell (and we've mostly faced very good defenses, to at least give some modicum of contextual fairness) if it's THAT bad or if it's just a combination of bad + John Fox. there's just no way that game wasn't going to play out that way after 2 quick defensive TDs with john fox running the show, was there? at least, as long as the defense didn't blow it.
  11. not that i'm spiking a football or anything here but i had a pretty good feeling this was a better team than was thought nationally (at least without glennon going out of his way to do everything possible poorly). they're more in that nfl parity middle of the bell curve than they are on the browns/giants/49ers (with genius john lynch who fleeced the bears!) tier.
  12. really wish i hadn't let glennon starting the season discourage me from betting on the bears over 5 wins or whatever it was when i was in vegas for week 1.
  13. might've been worse especially given the fact that that team at least had an NFL WR. i still remember my exasperation at halftime of that falcons SNF game. then rex came in and immediately threw a like a 20 yard completion to moose. then we scored a TD, nevermind the fact that it was on an end zone pick that was fumbled and we picked back up.
  14. I hope we get to see Trubisky throw it around a little against that Saints defense next week.
  15. oh man so close to getting the safety
  16. please be like an ankle spraint that hurt at first and not like an achilles or something
  17. oh no hicks
  18. well, it's kind of a perfect storm of scoring two quick defensive TDs and having john fox as your coach. as soon as we got out to a big lead there was no way the rest of the game wasn't going to be hideous conservative playing not to lose field position slop.
  19. HAHAHA YES horsefeathers THAT GUY
  20. did you guys see where hicks nicknamed amos spatula hands? ha ha ha oh wow
  21. by the same token, there should be at least somewhat of a surprise factor in their favor when it comes to the defense, so i'm certainly not trying to make any excuses for them.
  22. Like, actual monsters? What's your definition? Nah. They're sort of monstrous but not enough to be monsters.
  23. i'd be interested in hearing an offensive lineman speak honestly about what type of impact throwing 15 times a game would have on their ability to pass block
  24. what a strangely timed question
