I've never been to Wrigley, so this is purely from the outside looking in, but I don't know where all the "people are Wrigley don't even know what's going on in the game" stuff comes from. I mean, every big situation that pops up in the game, even in the first inning, the fans are on their feet cheering. It seems to me if nobody knew what was going on, that wouldn't happen. They even cheered Glavine after his last inning of work in his win #300 game, cheered Maddux when he left in his last start as a Cub, cheered for Wood in his 2007 return, etc. This isn't the type of things that people who aren't paying attention do. There are always idiots, that's never going to change. But it seems to me that they are vastly outnumbered at the games.
