  1. you wanted more miller? Wanted some more GOOOOOZ. Guzman is in Iowa.
  2. Good to see Maddux getting that footlong outside corner.
  3. I just posted Miller's PC on the last page....70 through 3 Maddux is 50 through 3. Maddux efficient as usual. 50 thru 3 isn't efficient in the slightest.
  4. Miller now with 4 scoreless innings on the season, evening up with his 4 innings of giving up runs.
  5. Missed a golden opportunity for somebody to get Miller removed from the game.
  6. To be fair, on another day Ramirez and Lee both have home runs, so we'd have at least 3.
  7. I really don't find it to be much like baseball. In fact, I'd prefer to play actual baseball over any form of softball. The 12" league down here, I'm not sure how it is anywhere else, starts each AB with a strike and a ball already against you. I hate that. I just think that 16" is way more fun. I'm biased though, I grew up playing it. Well yeah, I'm not trying to say it's as good as the real thing. But choosing between 16" with no gloves and playing 12" with gloves I'll take the chance to play actual defense, as well as being able to hit the ball some distance(I'm not a power hitter so I can't fall in love with the long ball).
  8. We got several yesterday. Doubt it today with the wind.
  9. I think I was 11 when I found out that 'softballs' come in sizes smaller than 16". Still not sure why they call them softballs, those 12" things, that is. I never heard of it until last fell, but I play in a 14" league. Gloves for girls, no gloves for guys. It has the make up of a 16' ball. I can't wait till I move back to the city. I tried to get a 16" intramural league going here at school but everyone wanted to play 12" so they could hit homeruns. Tools. I don't get why you'd want to play 16" over the "girl" softball. It's closer to real baseball.
  10. neither Giles hit was hit that hard. Seriously? He scorched that last one.
  11. Took ball one low, swung at a fastball on the outer half and fouled it off to the third base side, then pulled an inside fastball on the ground to Giles.
  12. I don't think you can assume that ball would've been caught. Even then, it would've been fortunate that he gave up a line drive that was scalded right to an outfielder.
  13. Miller looked like Chet Steadman throwing those warmup pitches.
  14. Without an intimate knowledge of the situation, I'd say it's highly doubtful Price pitches today. Games in the middle of the week are typically non-conference affairs that managers let their 3rd, 4th, or 5th starters pitch in. Weekend series will be your best shot to see Price, being the ace he'll pitch almost exclusively on Friday nights of those 3 game weekend sets.
  15. Oh yes, I was almost to the point of yelling at Hrabosky when he got on LaRoche for looking like he didn't care, while he was in the batters box preparing for the pitch. Simply awesome.
  16. That's been tried before. From what I heard, it wasn't pretty. Really? I remember hearing differently from someone else here.
  17. Yay! Now please please please please please don't hit him leadoff. 2 or preferably 7.
  18. Ohman will be fine as long as we stop sending him out there to get 3 outs at a time, unless all 3 of those outs are LH hitters.
  19. Popped him up. Thank goodness, I don't think I could've taken the Cards coming back by hitting two week ground balls, one that LaRoche booted and another that hit third base.
  20. Pistols at dawn!!! How many paces? I'll let you know when to turn around.
