  1. To me, Kroeger and Craig look like the only ones worth making sure we keep.
  2. I'll use Google to send one your way if no one else can. Just PM me the number.
  3. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Julian Tavarez is the Phantom of the Opera except his disfiguration covers all of his face.
  4. Can we infer anything from his hesitancy to say anything? Would he have any problem telling you "there's no deal happening" at work?
  5. We can argue philosophical differences in how an outfielder is supposed to approach a throw like that, but either way it's a remarkably petty thing to criticize Murton for.
  6. I hope not. I was going to suggest Jacque to Florida again if we took back someone they didn't want next year, but they have absolutely no one guaranteed money next year. I think Jacque-for-Payton would be a good idea. Payton should help a little with the problems against LHP. Gets Jacque off the team for next year. Whatever little value Jacque may have goes right out the window as a part-time player. We definitely don't want him hanging around next season as an option to Pie and/or a distraction. But all those things apply to Payton too. I'd take my chances that we can deal Jones in the offseason, and not trading for Payton makes it more likely that Church would rightfully be given a shot as an everyday player.

  8. Cmon Hank, just hang em up and join the organization as an instructor.
  9. The audacity! The unmitigated gall! Welcome back, Fearless Leader.
  10. Well yeah, that's why he's there. It was a strong throw to Theriot too, so it was probably more effective than if he had hit DeRosa.
  11. Hit him 5th or 6th, swapping with DeRosa depending on if it's a RHP or LHP on the mound that day.
  12. he overthrew the cut-off man once. on a basehit to right he also sort of hesitated before throwing the ball, but made a good throw and nothing bad came of it. I saw both those plays. Theriot was the double cut and he hit him, no one would've thought anything of it had Sutcliffe not babbled on about something he knew nothing about. And like you said, he made a very nice throw on the single to right.
  13. Wolf, can you see this?
  14. Big, big fan of adding Church. Especially if the A-Ball player rumor is true, since there's very little in either Peoria or Daytona.
  15. I didn't see the entire game, but how did he screw up in the field?
  16. Hahaha, what?! Zach Greinke sucks, he's not good at baseball. I don't see why several people in this thread think we'd be ripping the Royals off. Greinke is not good. Neither is Josh Hamilton. Potential > Production. I don't see much potential for a guy who was terrible in '05, sat out last year because he's a headcase, and has been terrible again as a starter this year. He's only 23, and has been dominant as a reliever this year.
  17. Pie made his next AB too so it's clear now he's still in(I thought that Gameday might not change the defender in CF if Pie left the game).
  18. Pretty sure Sut was talking about Dempster's blocking of Iguchi from the plate... Sometimes Rick doesn't, uh, say the right words. :) No, he went out of his way to point out that the ball bounced before it hit the ground or some nonsense, he was trying to praise Kendall for pinballing the pitch away from him.
  19. Shutup Sutcliffe, that was an awful play by Kendall, and an even worse decision by Iguchi
  20. Hamels is going to pitch the 8th? Good thinking Chuck Manuel.
  21. There was an injury delay in the Iowa game with Pie on the bases, but it either wasn't to him or wasn't too serious because MiLB.com says he caught a fly out the next half inning.
  22. Why is Wuertz still out there, and why can't you keep the ball in front of you Kendall?
