  1. Let's not get hostile with our tones here guys. And please don't tell other posters what they can or cannot say.
  2. If the Cubs are "rolling the dice" with Hill as a playoff starter, then the rest of MLB is playing powerball with the back of their playoff rotations.
  3. Cherry is the sacrificial lamb today. He needs to pitch at least into the 6th, I don't care how many pitches he throws.
  4. 2nd best starting ERA in baseball. Only Marquis has an ERA above 4. So, you're comfortable with Hill, Marquis and Marshall starting a playoff game? Hill and Marshall? Absolutely.
  5. We got Iguchi out! brb running celebratory laps around my office
  6. Walking to my seat at the Cell I saw on the wall: "Grinder Rule No. 1: Win, or die trying" Needless to say I took a picture, and then watched Zambrano shred them.
  7. Callis said in his recent chat that Vitters will sign, and that he's probably just waiting on Moustakas to see how high he can go with his demands.
  8. haha, apparently Atkins needed to get rocked in order to get promoted.
  9. The post dispatch said El Duque was starting today for the mets, for whatever that's worth.
  10. Yahoo is screwing with me, that's twice now it's advanced the count, then taken it back.
  11. When you need one out and it's the pitcher? I can handle that in the 5th inning.
  12. Honestly, Iguchi and Rowand, how does this happen
  13. It shouldn't be this hard to keep Iguchi off the basepaths
  14. yeah, studies have shown that dumb pitchers are more prone to wild pitches. Watch him in person. He gets flustered, alot. I don't hate the guy, but showed tons of negative body language Friday night in Cincy. Pacing around the mound, shrugging his shoulders, putting his head down. It doesn't have anything to do with intelligence, more like composure. If Friday is a "bad" outing, then I'm not going to complain about Hill's composure or how he goes about his job on the mound. Did I say it was a bad outing? It was just a comment on his mannerisms. Things fall apart for him very quickly. That's a matter of opinion. If there's a strong defensive catcher Hill might not have given up any runs that inning. As it stood he only gave up one, is that falling apart? How do you know that it's linked to his mannerisms? People are different, Hill may show outward displays of frustration in order for him to get over it and focus entirely on the next play. Sure it was Kendall fault that Hill made a error, Hit, HBP, and walk. There is no one to blame but himself. Calm down, my point was that one extra-ordinary play by one of his teammates gets Hill out of trouble.
  15. I think so. The point I'm making is that we can't speak for Hill's mental state. Considering he did a pretty good job of limiting damage that inning(as well as the aforementioned example in Cincy), maybe we shouldn't be so quick to label him as getting flustered.

  18. Pirates lead the Cards 7-0 now in the middle of the 4th.
  19. I do not doubt for an instance that Mizzou could lose in Manhattan, but for the North title?
  20. Probably a dumb question, but CST, right? I wouldn't think you're flying into Cleveland(if you're even going back there, I can't remember).
  21. No, Donovan.
