Miscommunication. Maclin thought it was a play fake, he ran several steps before he realized something went wrong. That makes it even worse, because if Maclin knows it's a handoff he A) Hangs on to the ball or B) Falls on it if it comes out. But yeah, frustrating all around. That Brown interception(the ensuing score put them up 5, btw) would've changed the game. Pig did not play well tonight.

Mizzou down 17-10 at the half. They need to have some depth to their zone coverage cause they're getting gashed by the pass. Gaining yardage on 1st down would also be a good thing.

Nebraska is getting humiliated again. 24-0 to OK State in Lincoln, and they're less than 5 minutes into the 2nd quarter. EDIT: 31-0 now, wow. EDIT2: 38-0, OSU is on pace for over 700 yards.

Amazing. On topic, if we're trading Marshall+Pie for an upgrade, I'd look to find someone hitting arbitration for the first time that a smaller market team may not want to pay. Pie + Marshall for Hawpe + ??, I dunno. EDIT: And agreed times a billion to seeing what's necessary to get Hermida.

Pessimistic, don't let yourself get excited version: Allen Patrick or whoever runs the ball for OU, it doesn't matter, makes our defense wish they were never born. Loadholt keeps Sulak from getting to the QB/ballcarrier by eating him like a gingerbread man. Daniel fumbles once and throws a pick. OU wins 35-21 Optimistic, just watched us humiliate Nebraska version: Gameday and OU is enough to get the defense motivated to stop the run again, or at least enough to put the offense back on the field. The offense is a frakking machine that's the reason we've been up 25+ points in the 3rd quarter of every game. Bradford proves my theory that first year QBs never go all the way. Mizzou wins 42-20 Middle ground: I'd be out of my mind to predict a road win against OU. They've got too much talent all the way around, and the best shot is that Mizzou's offense scores enough points to force OU to make some mistakes that might swing the game in our favor. OU wins 38-31 after a late Mizzou TD makes it look closer than it was.

My depth at running back got shot out of the water when Cadillac blew up his leg, so now I have some "best of the worst" choices when I have RB bye weeks. I have to pick one between: Earnest Graham (TB) v. Ten Justin Fargas (Oak) @ SD DeAngelo Williams (Car) @ Ari Right now I'm leaning towards Graham over Fargas.

No, you had everyone playing, but you got a combined 1.15 points from the 3 WRs you started, so that pretty much did you in. Unless Romo goes insane, I'll be moving into 1st place on points after the week.

If Mizzou tackles and plays the run like it did yesterday, then we have a shot. Is OU's defense exceptional this year? If they don't hold us under 5 TDs, then I'm not sure who will.

I liked: "Sam plays like Helen" I normally hatehatehate the wave, but doing it for about 10 straight minutes, booing when it got to the Nebraska section and cheering after, was about as great as a stadium-wide taunt can get.

I'll never understand why some ballplayers are so obtuse that they don't adjust to the particular pitching style they are facing that day. Are they just not intelligent? They must not be. A normal person would think "Hrmm, every time I try to pull that outside pitch, I make an easy out. I should quit doing that." A major leaguer thinks "Hrmmm.... I should just keep doing this. I'll be able to pull it eventually!" Whatever happened to just hitting the ball hard and not trying to place it? They probably think: if I let this guy pull me out of "my game", then I'll lose my lucky stance and be screwed up for weeks. Maybe....now stay with me here......being a good major league hitter......is really really hard.

Yeah, that seems like a pretty huge oversight. Atkins isn't a guy who's getting by on smoke and mirrors, and he was pretty dominant performance-wise for Daytona.
