  1. That's awesome. Bring the noise for me.
  2. Illinois will beat Maryland. The Terps have no guard depth at all. Vazquez is decent, but Hayes isn't good, and they played a combined 78 minutes against Mizzou.
  3. If this happens I'm going to have to take up hunting, because breaking inanimate objects just won't cut it for how pissed off I would be.
  4. In that situation, I'd like to have both Hill and Garza and not overpay for Crawford. Use Marshall to get Tejada/CF/RF+Fukudome.
  5. Rush is back already? That sucks.
  6. Please live up to your ranking Mizzou.
  7. Mizzou reamed Western Illinois by 39 today. They travel to Arkansas wednesday, and travel to Cal on Saturday for the Pac-10/Big XII challenge, before returning home for Purdue next Saturday. Big 2 week stretch in determining how good the team is.
  8. This isn't the first time that situation happened to Mizzou. They got a safety on aTm near the end of that game, and aTm tried to recover the short kick. Afterward it was called something like a bunt kick, and it was apparently legal. Either KU didn't know about it or was just conceding the game.
  9. The coaches poll flip flops Mizzou and WVU, dummys.
  10. Today has been a wonderful, wonderful day.
  11. I'm not going to completely defend the contract but their bullpen does need an ace. It's not like players are beating down the Red's door to be in Cin. On msg boards I've noticed about 90% of the major signing are met with complete disdain. This is the MLB reality, folks. There's some truth to that, but we're talking about CoCo Cordero here. They could very very very very very easily get his production without needing to spend any real money at all, that's the nature of relief pitching.
  12. about to head to gameday myself. Z-O-U!
  13. It's actually a shade over 50 points per game, but yes, it's quite tremendous.
  14. http://www.hardballtimes.com/main/article/andruw-jones-batted-balls/
  15. LSU has lost two games to teams with a combined 8 losses(probably 9 after tomorrow), whatever argument they have for their schedule causing their losses is gone. They're not even in the top 25 of SOS either.
  16. HE'S THE HEAD COACH!
  17. Nutt called timeout right before the snap, and the side judge was less than decisive in letting everyone know about it.
  18. It's so hilarious to see the grins on the faces of these coaches after they guess right with their last second timeouts. First Franchione, now Nutt.
  19. You sure? If UT and OU both win, they will be 6-2, and OU won the head to head. If they both lose, they'll both be 5-3, again with OU claiming the head to head. I'm pretty sure Texas has to win and OU has to lose. In the second scenario, Oklahoma State would also be 5-3, and Texas has that 3 way tiebreaker. EDIT: Turns out that I'm wrong. In that 3-way tie, all the tiebreakers tie down to the BCS standings. So I guess Texas does need to win, since they aren't going to pass OU in the BCS by losing to aTm. That's not what the Big 12 site says: http://www.big12sports.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/tie-breaker.html Texas should win because of tiebreaker number 2 because they only lost 1 game against the division while Oklahoma and OK State both lost 2. That's what I get for going over those in my head. So I was right after all, hooray I guess.
  20. You sure? If UT and OU both win, they will be 6-2, and OU won the head to head. If they both lose, they'll both be 5-3, again with OU claiming the head to head. 21. but you're paying 12 mil a year for it! that's what makes it a bad idea. Yeah, if we could have signed the cheap stud closer I'm sure we would have. Except Cordero is hardly 2002-2004 Eric Gagne on the mound. It's all the money with none of the guaranteed production.
  22. The difference is, Cordero isn't trash. The reason we've had to get so many relievers is because they all suck. Have you seen Cordero's performance aside from 2007? He's Michael Wuertz + playing time in the 9th + service time to be a FA.
  23. Dear Darren McFadden, Please continue scoring touchdowns at your leisure. Hugs and Kisses, TT
  24. Can someone find a FA closer deal that people didn't hate before it was over? Paying 11+ million for a closer is lunacy, doing it for a nearly 33 year old for 4 years is how you get people to claim you have a reliever fetish.
  25. For as much as potential scenarios get obsessed over, no one on TV seems to recognize that the Texas-aTm game has no impact on the Big 12 South. No matter what Texas does, they go to the B12 Championship game if Oklahoma loses, and they don't if Oklahoma wins.
