  1. Rondon fan is irrationally pessimistic, Derwood is your uncle who knows you like baseball and corners you at a cookout
  2. I love Carl, but I feel like if every hitter went full Rowengartner on him and never swung he'd probably walk about 60% of hitters
  3. I think Len mentioned they were having technical issues with it. Also maybe they were ashamed that it was aesthetically terrible and also laughably inaccurate.
  4. Bryant is 3 for 7 with 2 doubles, a HR, and 2 BB to start the year, imagine being as good at anything as he is at baseball
  5. it makes me irrationally upset that the stupid run predictor is a percentage instead of average runs, especially when it's a situation with runners on
  6. Knebel blows a save, old friend Matt Szczur pinch ran, stole second, then scored the tying run a pitch later.
  7. I mainly was just looking a way to shoehorn in the Hedge Fund Orioles bit, because I thought of that a couple days ago and have been dying to use it ever since.
  8. The current Brewers are the Hedge Fund Orioles. That is not a compliment, and they are not an Arcia or Hiura from being competitive.
  9. I strongly suspect Holland is going to fall off a cliff sooner than later, so seeing him get 14 million from the Cardinals is pretty exciting.
  10. Can't you stream the game on the ESPN App if you have a subscription? WatchESPN doesn't offer a way to auth through YouTube TV yet that I've seen. Best bet in Omar's situation would be to spoof his location to be outside Chicago with a VPN or maybe a proxy.
  11. That's a good thought, but with Simmons, Mazzoni, Rosario, and Farrell all on the 40 man currently, there's plenty of flexibility to open up a spot if they truly wanted Gimenez up to start the year.
  12. Caratini made the team over Gimenez, that is very surprising to me.
  13. Greinke/Happ/other SS >>> Archer/dropped player/Andrus
  14. Nova/Duke would be a Final 4 matchup, it can't be the title game. At this point I'm aiming for the balance of maximum seeding and mid-major chaos, with exceptions for power conference teams that are aesthetic obscenities(Syracuse, WVU, KSU).
  15. I am not a swing doctor, but my understanding is Heyward's primary issue is timing. There is some concern about his old wrist injury hurting him against velocity, but everyone does worse against velocity and he hasn't been feasting on junkballers. That means that whatever gets him on time is good, which could but doesn't have to involve his swing as a whole changing.
  16. Over Miller and Kellogg, absolutely. Robinson is actually kind of interesting though. Better frame than Rucker to handle a starter's workload. Much better breaking ball. Induces a lot of groundballs, and more than Rucker. Maybe they want to groom Rucker in a swingman type role right now, as they perceive that to be his most valuable spot in the bigs (assuming he makes it). I could see it. Robinson is older than Rucker(one of the most common issues folks have with him) and is materially worse at getting K's while no better at avoiding baserunners. If anything Robinson at his advanced age and lack of missed bats should be rushed to the pen to see if he sees an uptick in stuff.
  17. how in the wide wide world of sports is Rucker not clearly first in line for rotation innings among him, Duncan Robinson, Kyle Miller, and Ryan Kellogg I mean as resident Rucker superfan I could probably throw Clifton in that group too, but come on, Duncan Robinson?
