  1. The overhead camera they have on the box is sweet. Off the post! Everytime I post in this thread something exciting happens.
  2. Impressive acting by Eboue(sp) Goal Arsenal!
  3. Never seen gold jerseys from arsenal before.
  4. I really don't think his poor BABIP is bad luck. He's made a lot of weak contact this year and he's certainly not fast enough to leg out an infield hit. I still think he'll get it together though and start hitting the ball harder on a regular basis. He's still hitting about 15% line drives, which means at the least his BABIP should be around .250. If that were the case he'd be hitting about .270/.350/.470/.820, and that's assuming all the extra hits are singles.
  5. I don't think he has the foot speed to do well at the next level. He was a great(and over-criticized) college player, but I don't think his game translates well to the NBA.
  6. Neither can your typo.
  7. If he's going to take walks like that then he's going to be frighteningly good. Especially if he gets some more hits to fall to raise that low BABIP.
  8. I really didn't like Z going out for the 8th, but he got it done and had a fantastic outing.
  9. That being said, and considering I think you said you watched the game via the Washington broadcasters, did you catch what they said about Murton in the 2 hole. One guy said he watched a lot of Murton and could never envision him there. I didn't get it. Murton's patient, high OBP, mediocre SLG, go the other way, smart hitting approach seems to be pretty close to the ideal 2 hitter. On a somewhat related note, I think Bob Carpenter was trying to break Joe Morgan's record of blatantly incorrect statements in one game last night.
  10. She probably had a better arm than Jacque. Somebody had to say it.
  11. Why does it matter how they were acquired?
  12. Nomar Murton Pagan Enrique Wilson
  13. His BABIP is still ridiculously low, at .194. He'll be right at previous levels when that levels out. He's also drawing more walks and striking out less than in his previous seasons. I'd be stunned if he didn't pick it up quite a bit over the rest of the season.
  14. In other news, Barcelona and Arsenal face off in the Champions League final tomorrow afternoon(2:45 EST).
  15. So you are so sick of Bonds coverage you start threads and devote your sig to the topic?

  17. Maybe it would be good to not obsess over Bonds...
  18. I swear he initially went, then stopped and looked, then took off. Like he thought it was guaranteed to drop or something.
  19. DID HE HAVE A FURROWED BROW THAT MADE HIM LOOK UPSET??????????
  20. I like it. I would also like it if he hit first.
  21. .364/.453/.418/.871 in just over 60 PA's at Peoria
  22. I wasn't aware that Jock was used as a putdown. doubtful it's a term of endearment. :o I always thought it was comparable to "Walkah".
