  1. Who's pitching now? I heard it was a lefty right before I left the room but never heard a name.
  2. It sounded to me like Prior was just over-throwing when he was in the game. They never told velocity readings, but that is the feeling that I got listening to the announcers.
  3. I'll brb, I've got some errands to run could someone do this for a bit?

  11. That's what XM just reported, so I'd say that's the most recent revision. It isn't ideal, but it's better than what it was.
  12. I can if you'd like, I'm listening on XM right now. They just announced the starting lineups.
  13. I really don't like this unless we resign Columbo too. Davis would be a good RG to take over for Rivera, but would be a downgrade at RT.
  14. Yes, but no spring training picture will ever top this one, in terms of hilarity: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/KingJME/capt.jpg Is that Walker?
  15. He's a converted catcher who is still incredibly raw. He's got several plus pitches, but he still is a throw not a pitcher. Some time in the minors is really what he needs, even with success in the majors I think keeping him there is only hurting him in the long run. didnt realize his conversion, when was this?he sure seems to have control issues It happened in the middle of the '02 season after he made it to low A ball as a catcher. IMO his power overwhelmed players at lower levels allowing him to succeed, but better hitters have caused him problems at the higher levels. Players also aren't chasing his pitches like they used to. He's got a bright future, but he's still got a long way to go before he reaches his full potential. He's still 24 as well so time is on his side.

  17. I'm actually in a 14 team league so the talent is thinned out some, but it also adds some fun into it. There are some mistakes I made like with the OF. I thought Willingham was still eligible at C too, but he's not so that was a bit of a wasted pick. I'm overall more confident about my offense than I am about my pitching. Millwood, Garland, Igawa, and Jones could all turn out to be great or they could kill me. And cheapseats, yes that'd be me.
  18. Theriot scored on Perez' sac fly, Pagan scored on Jacque's single.
  19. They have the rights to Plummer too now. They gave a conditional 2008 pick and a DB to Denver for him. If he shows up the Broncos get a pick, if not they still get to keep the DB.
  20. It sounded like he did all right-he gave up a couple of hits and a run in the second, but he also struck out two in 2 innings and only had 1 hard hit out. 2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 2 K How did we score? Cedeno solo home run, Barrett inside the park home run, Perez sac fly, I forget the other run. Jacque had an RBI single as well.
  21. A's announcers say that Samardzija's debut is "very impressive". They also mentioned that he's been clocked in the high 90's several times by the Cubs lately.
  22. Pie pops out to Barton to end the inning.
  23. Perez with a sac fly to left center, Cubs up 5-3 now!
  24. Coats with a sac bunt, Pagan to 3rd. Perez up now.
